"I don't see how you'd be causing trouble...unless you're," Millie pause dramatically, "here to fight!" The words were said in a melodramatic way that she hoped conveyed the fact that it was an attempt at humor.
"Nah,,," she continued playfully, "the more the merrier! When faced with terrifying circumstances with life ending ramifications it's best to keep a still upper lip,"
Millie put her arm around the girl, "and how better to keep a smile on your face than to hang out with friends right?"

After a short pause she added, "You aren't here to fight though right?"

Kimber tensed up at the contact and gave the girl a wary look.
"No, I'm not here to fight. Just... looking to relax for a bit in a place that wasn't my room." She tried to gently shrug off the girl's arm. "I'm Kimber Beck by the way," she said as she held out her hand.

Millie noticed Kimber's shoulder making a rolling motion that invited her hand to instead grasp the now outstretched hand. "Millie Cartwright she said shaking Kimber's hand" Clearly this girl did not like to be touched.
Millie mentally shrugged it off. "Some people just have a personal bubble," she thought to herself.
"Anyways that's exactly what we're doing I guess," Millie continued brightly meeting Kimber's eyes. So now you know me this is my," Milie paused.
Millie had pretty much just Mallory but given the circumstances they might not know each other very long so why not just open up and try to make the best of it?
"This is my friend Mallory," Millie finished. "We were just talking about ways to have fun while we can."

Kimber shifted under Millie's gaze, "Is there any way to actually have fun around here? Everything seems so centered around the games."

"Well," she said with a grin, "me and Mallory were actually talking about sneaking out and seeing Capitol after training tonight."
She looked between the other two girls, "bright lights, delicious treats, tons of fun! C'mon who's up for it?"

"Great idea in theory," said Jaden, striding across the greenhouse and into the circle of girls. "But I'll save you the trouble and give you the spoiler of how it ends." Jaden points to his bruised eye. "Yep. No one sneaks out of this place."

Mallory blushed at the sight of Jaden, who she had been sneaking glances at ever since the training had begun.
"What happened to you?!"

Millie noticed the slight red tone creep across Mallory's face. "So Kimber," she said turning to the girl beside her, "Maybe we should go look at some or the interesting flowers over THERE." She smiled and nudged her head to the side indicating that maybe Mallory needed some space.

When Millie and Kimber had made their way over to the planters on the other side of the room Millie half shouted in a loud and obvious voice, "THESE ARE SOME INTERESTING PLANTS OVER HERE." She turned to look behind her and say the two talking.
"Sorry about that Kimber," Millie said scratching the back of her head awkwardly, " l think those two have a little crush on each other and I thought maybe we should give them space."
"Anyway," she said brightening up, "we were talking about fun. What did you do for fun back home in your district?"

David walls into the greenhouse lazily, not noticing the other people. He finally looks up and is surprised by the activity. There are a couple of people talking. He decides to stay away from them. He shuffles off toward the other side of the room, trying to stay unnoticed. There are two more people. "Wow, when did this become a party?" He thought. "Guess I'll say hi to these people, I havent really met anyone yet."
With a tired saunter, David walks up to the two girls looking at the plants. He clears his throat, "Hem, A-hello. I'm David. Um, ha... I see you've found the primrose. That should prove useful in the games."

Mallory's face turns bright red as Mille and Kimber walks away.
"Hi Jaden, I'm-, erm..."
She notices another tribute walk over to the girl. "Oh look, someone else is here!"
She walks rapidly over to the group. "So who wants to practice our skills together today?" she asked a little too loudly.

"Oh wow we seem to be making a lot of friends today Kimber." "Oh hi Mallory," Millie said turning to the tribute, "how'd your um talk over there go?"
Turning to the new boy that had entered this room Millie smiled, "Hi I'm Millie and these are Mallory and Kimber."
"I'm Actually looking to lean a little bit more about identifying plants actually," Millie said to the group in general, "I know a little but I'm still having some issues pulling it off."
"But that can wait," she said handing the flower to Kimber, "Right now what we all really need is some fun!"
Millie smiled broadly, "I've been trying to set something up since I came in here and found Mallory." "But," he said looking around, "Maybe we can all fun something to do. The more the merrier."

Jaden was taken aback when all the girls suddenly flocked around the boy from district 11. 'What does this guy have on me?' he thought to himself. 'Or what am I doing wrong? Ah, must be the swollen eye. I better do something about that.' Jaden leaves the greenhouse.

"Hey Mallory, where's that boy going?" Millie said glancing behind her, "from the look of it earlier it might be in your best interest not to let him wander off."
She moved her head alongside the side of Mallory's faved and continued in a hushed but friendly tone, "unless that blushing earlier was a fluke."
Millie moved moved her face back to a normal position and smiled at Mallory, "Like I said sometimes a weed is actually a rose. But you still have to tend to it or it'll wilt." She glanced back at the boy exiting the room, "It's up to you but I think you should tend to your rose while you have time." Millie paused and then perked up again as if she had forgotten something important, "Oh! But make sure you come find me tonight. We still have to do SOMETHING fun while we still can!"
Still talking to Mallory but now also somewhat addressing all those around her she finished, "He says the pool." She turned around to look the boy over. "But I think he just wants to see us in our bathing suits."
She smiled at the boy, "Doesn't really matter though," Millie looked up and noticed the movement the sun had made across the sky, "might as well get some use out of them while we can." She laughed to herself, "unless we want to be really cliched and tell ghost stories and play truth or dare."

Less than a minute later, Jaden reenters the greenhouse out of breath and now wearing an eye patch over his bruised eye. He takes a deep breath to relax himself, puts on a broad smile, and overconfidently strides back towards the girls. He places himself between Millie and Mallory and puts his arms around them.
"The pool is for district 4 dorks. I know a way better place to chill out. Have you guys been up to the roof? That's where the party is at." He attempts to give Mallory a playful wink, but with the eyepatch it only reads as an awkward blink.

David wasn't sure what to do with all of Millie's energy...
"Ha, you guys have fun I guess. I wouldn't want to make the pool weird with my being there.... Hey, Mallory is it? Um- if you, or anyone of you girls, see that guy again just tell him to rub some of this Primrose root on his eye."
David digs up a bit of primrose and holds it out awkwardly. No one takes it right away and David looks around... He places it on the table slowly.
"..."
"Anyway, if you guys are looking for fun," David takes out a couple folded up leaves from his pockets. "take these before you enter the pool or watch the stars. They focus your mind and give you a great body high."
David puts those next to the primrose.
"So I don't want to seem like I'm a pusher, I just know a lot about plants. I have a couple ailments." David puts on a tired smile. "So do you guys have any alliances? I havent really met anyone yet."

Almost simultaneously three things seemed to happen at once in a whirlwind of chaos. Millie turned her attention back to the group just as the boy in front of her laid a medicinal herb on the table. "Hm...maybe he could help me with my issues identifying plants," she thought to herself. But just three seconds after this thought and telling Mallory to go after the tribute who obviously had a crush on her the same boy came rushing back into the room with a ridiculous eyepatch.
Millie had heard the tribute with a knowledge of herbs say something about an alliance but the brashness of the eyepatch wearing tribute caused those thoughts to be pushed to that back of her head where a stray thought tried to get the attention of her mind back to the other boy in the room. "We NEED to find an alliance!"
But that thought was completely wiped free from her mind when "eyepatch" put his arms around not just Mallory but herself as well. Trying not to look too interested for Mallory's sake but not turned off so much as to put off this eyepatch Millie addressed the boy who seemed to be inviting her to the roof.
"The roof?" she said through a smile, "wow. That's so cool! But um...what could we do on the roof?" "I mean you're such a gentleman for taking us up there but we get bored easily so you better keep us entertained," she said a little to genuinely to be innocent but that was the point. It had to make his mind "imaginative" so that he'd have no trouble with the next part.
"So you heard him guys," she said motioning to Kimber and Dave as well, "we're all invited to the roof." She put a little more emphasis on the word "all"
Behind Eyepatch's back she made a slight motion with her head and eyes towards Eyepatch as if to ask her, "get you alone with him? Yes or no?"
"Oh and Dave?" She said looking back over to the group as a whole, "what's that you said about alliances?"

"Well hey, let's just bring all this alliance talk up to the roof. No better way to get to trust each other than to spend an evening just hanging out. And with day two of training coming up maybe we can all come up with a plan to train together."
Without waiting for a response, Jaden turns and heads to the greenhouse door. "See you all up there!"

"Um right, I was just asking if u guys were in an alliance. As for the roof, I think I'll pass. Thanks anyway though, I have work to do here. Plus, I'm sure I'll be tired by then, with the training and all. Have fun though."
David turns to the eye patch man. He grabs the primrose and smashes the roots between his two hands.
"Here, put this on your eye. It'll reduce the swelling. I'm David by the way, district 11."

"Fuck," Millie whispered inside her head. Despite her best intentions she seemed to have off put the boy Dave- I mean David from district 11. She really did need to make an alliance and he seemed pretty nice. Plus he knew a thing or two about plants which is something she had really been wanting to lean about.
She searched I'm her pockets to find something usable and her hand found a crumpled notice that had been on the district one door welcoming them to the Capitol. She picked up a pen next to a notebook someone who had set up this room had been using to catalogue plants.
She quickly wrote: Millie Cartwright District One. If you're looking for an alliance let me know. Meet me at the long range practice room at 1 am tonight. I've some really nice people with some very useful talents. Give me the night to see who else I can get interested.
"Oh Dave before you go. I had a question about this herb. I didn't know what it was called so I just drew it," she said handing him the folded paper. "Just find me later and let me know about it of you want."
Turning back to Eyepatch she smiled, "So? The roof?"

"No problem. I'll do my best."
David quickly glances at the note and realizes it's not a plant drawing. He shoves the note in his pocket, he'll read it later.
"Alright guys, well, Idk. I'm looking for an alliance. I'm good with plants. You guys enjoy whatever you're doing, really. I'll be here later tonight if you guys want to hang out."
David says goodbye and moves on to the next room in the greenhouse.

"So," Millie said with a belabored sigh, "now that the guys are all gone back to the matter at hand"
"We need some thing fun to do. I'm honking we head up to that roof," she continued, "if it sucks we'll just find something else to do."
"Now. I have two very important questions for you two," Millie said trying to look serious, "are either of you looking for an alliance? I think it's better to surround yourself with people you can trust than just go looking for the most powerful people you can find. And I may sound a bit odd saying this but I get a good vibe from the two of you." She smiled an honest grin at Mellody and Kimber.
She had really grown to like these girls in the short time she had known them. Mellody had opened up to her immediately and she appreciated the genuine character or her personality. Kimber obviously seemed lost and confused. She probably hadn't asked for this in the slightest and she could tell all if Kimber's irritated behavior was just her way of expressing that discomfort of being in the Capitol. I mean how could anyone trust people who were supposed to kill them.
"Second," she said as she snapped out of that thought, "Davey boy and Eyepatch...thoughts?" She paused for a moment.
"Objective opinions of their anatomy?"
