It would probably help to know each other's backstories and useful skills, so we can keep those in mind and plan around them. Make sure we cover all our bases.
I'm quiet, but I tend to be bluntly honest about certain things. Then again, I'm somewhat of a spy back home, hiding up in trees and eavesdropping. So if there's been any confusion about me, it's because I'm trying to balance out those parts of myself. I wasn't quite sure how to approach this whole thing. I've never been a fan of the Games, so I hadn't really considered my strategy until recently. Eloise, you remind me so much of my sister, and I can't seem to shake that. So I don't even care if you're peacekeepers or tributes, I'll stick as allies and help you out regardless. I'm just loyal to the few I do trust. So just be honest, and I'll adjust accordingly.
Eloise, Sharlot, I'd like to know about your honest backstories and what you might be able to contribute to our team.
Millie, what would you suggest we focus on? Is there a certain task you'd most like us to tackle in the Games??

Back home I'm an only child...now. I lost two siblings and a cousin in the first minutes of previous hunger games. As you can see my family has a history of being targeted by the capitol. I really just want to go back home.
I'm here to win but don't want to go it alone. I've been studying the previous games and most people die in the cornucopia, or by falling victim to the game masters. Those who are killed by other tributes were hunted down because they were alone. I feel like my chances of surviving are higher with a group of people that are helping each other. I'll fight to stay alive but I'd much rather use my wits to keep my away from the other tributes, and to get out of whatever the game master can send our way. I'm always thinking about my next options and the effects of each decision. I'm very weary of other tributes, especially some of the the more outgoing ones. I think I'd want to entice people to be in my alliance if I was a peacekeeper or urge them to make bad decisions. There's now way to know.

Sharlot entered the little alcove. With the low table, chalkboard, crayons, and cupcakes scattered about it looked like children had been playing pretend school in here. At least there was a chalkboard... That would make things easier.
On closer inspection the chalkboard had a message in big curly letters written with pink chalk.
"NO ONE DIES"
It seemed like an ironic thing to have written in a place where people prepared for the Hunger Games... She wondered what it meant. Maybe whoever wrote it was very religious, or it was a really bad prediction of what would happen in the Hunger Games. But then again, Sharlot was really bad at reading into these sort of cryptic messages.
Sharlot picked up a broken piece of pink chalk and wrote very neatly on the board beneath the ominous message:
"IF WE DON'T PLAY THE GAME"

Eloise was intrigued by what Sharlot had added to the chalk board.
"As in, we don't fight each other?"

Wren smirked. "That would be a hilarious slap in the face to the Capitol...if only we could get all 24 on board. Or, let them kill each other off and end at a standstill."
Wren also agreed with Eloise, about the more outgoing tributes and being weary of trusting too many people. "I'd rather hide out a bit than attack anything head-on, so we're in agreement there." "Sharlot, what types of things are you good at? Are you more inclined to attack head on?"

Sharlot shook her head no. She wrote on the board:
"I play strategically, using the arena to my advantage. I don't know what the Game Makers will throw at us this year, but if it's good I'm going to take it. If it's bad I'm going to turn it against someone."
She realized her use of the word 'play' probably sounded strange to the others. But she couldn't help but think of it all as a game. Especially the way she had meddled with the Games in the past.

Millie entered the room prepared to set it up for the Tributes who she was sure would be arriving soon to this little nook. She had given them the location when they had decided to form an alliance but she had made sure to arrive early enough to beat them there.
Upon squeezing behind that familiar back bookcase she was surprised to find that not only was she not the first person to arrive but she was in fact the last.
She smiled in greeting, "Its nice to finally see this room ocup-"
Millie stopped mid-word upon noticing the addition to the sentence she had written on the blackboard two years ago. Despite herself a couple tears welled up in her eyes.
"Heh," she tried to hide the emotion with a chuckle, "This room sure did get dusty. I had wanted to clean it up before you got here."
"I-" she tried to start again, "I-...who wrote that?" she asked finally giving up on whatever sentence she had wanted to say in its place.
"Do you really feel that way?" she asked looking around the room.
She paused, "Any one of them could be peace keepers" she thought to herself. She had tried to keep track of the selections and cross reference them with the peace keeper database but the Capitol had always seemed to be one step ahead of her and her access had been blocked.
"Screw it!" she thought, "It's do or die this year. You already decided Millie!"
"If you feel that way...I can help you."

Wren could sense there was a whole world going on that he wasn't aware of, and it felt like he was walking on top of it ever since he set foot in the Capitol- ulterior motives, bigger enemies than each other...it felt very heavy, pushing up from below his feet.
He was glad to see Millie. "Well...I'm still not entirely sure what we're all dancing around, but I think I'm game. I mean, I hate the Capitol. I hate the Games. Once my name was called, I sorta knew I'd die but I wanted to be as useful as I could to some bigger picture-whether that was helping out a weaker ally or helping bring down a big alliance-or even the Capitol. So, if there's a bigger picture here that I'm missing, I'd love to see it. Maybe this is the reason I was chosen for the Games..."

Eloise wasn't sure where this was going. How were three relatively non-violent children going to upset a game of 24 tributes backed by the all-seeing capitol.
"I think we should put it out there. What exactly are we talking about?"

Sharlot, what's your past with the Games? (I know Eloise's family has history).

Sharlot erased her previous sentence and wrote on the board,
"During the first Hunger Games my best friend Tarmo was killed in the Cornucopia. I hacked into the Game Maker's controls and released a muttation onto his killer. I was caught and paid the price."
She pointed to her mouth and shrugged.
"Fair price for sweet revenge," she added.
A brief answer, she thought, but it filled the chalkboard. She could have filled a hundred of those chalkboards with her history with the Games.

"Wow. I can't even imagine being gutsy enough to try something like that, let alone have those hacking skills. As unfortunate as the outcomes were, I'm impressed by your determination and drive."
Wren really hoped he could trust her to have his back in the arena. She seemed like a good friend, and a useful ally.
"Should we talk about game possibilities at all? Or just handle things as they happen?"

Millie grinned, "Look this might get me killed...or worse," she said thinking about the capitol's mutation experiment
"But I may be able to help you find some weaknesses in the arena's defenses if I pull a few strings..." she finished with a serious look in he eyes.

"And then what? We get through the defenses and go where? There's peacekeepers in the game and undoubtedly Peacekeepers outside the arena."
Eloise wasn't sure where Millie was going with this. We all had families back home. How would they be safe if we decided to cheat at the games?

This did sound complicated. Wren was eager to hear what Millie had to say, but his priorities were with solidifying this alliance between Eloise and Sharlot. Even if there was some secondary agenda, nothing could happen with just one person on board. He really liked the two girls, but still felt a little cautious, and figured they probably felt the same way towards him. No one can be too sure at this point... If only there was a way to be sure...

OOC: I just leveled up...I might add onto attack, since combat seems to be pretty heavy in past games. That would give me +2 total on attack, which I don't think either of you have...? So I could try to be our main attacker if things come down to that. Thoughts?

OOC: Makes sense. I'm going the Tactics route and trying to get Scavenge up since food is a simple way to die.

There had been quite a few tributes exploring outside the hidden alcove that Eloise and her new found team members had been using to talk strategy.
"How could they know we're here? They seem determined to find this room."

"Yeah, they do. Although, I've been curious about the other alliance hideout myself..." Think it's time we branch out and try to talk to more people?
"Millie, have you heard similar conversations between other tributes?"

Okay. Reading through some posts & Demetri's very upfront about what they have. They're balancing their alliance to cover all main skills. Sounds like they're short on scavenge & want Val to supply that.
OOC: I'm at +2 on spy and attack right now. +1 tactics. Eloise or Sharlot, could one of you cover us on scavenge? Should we look into adding someone from 9, 10, or 11 to balance us out??

OOC: i can help with scavenge.
I think we need to bring in more people. Its just the three of us, but who can we trust?

I'm working on Julian...he seems to be mostly alone. We can consider Cal, if he doesn't go with district 12/Gwen.
I'd like to try Minerva or Thomas but they seem to want a small group...wonder if I can sway them?

OOC: Also, there's a search option up top. I typed "primrose accord" to sort some things out but I might also read through some posts from that year in their archives.

Wren began to search the alcove for clues, since Millie had taken a while to get back to them. He found a drawer with some papers in the desk...
On the paper was a list of questions written in a familiar handwriting:
"1. What is more important to you- winning or surviving?
2. Do you believe that the primrose accord can finish the games with its mission intact and mutual survival until the end.
3. Which is more important at the cornucopia? Getting supplies, escaping together safely, or thinking the heard?
4. Do you think we should align ourselves with any other alliances and who?
5. Do you trust the original five members?
6. What do you think we need to be successful? (Talents, strategies, items, etc)
7. Many tributes wish to join out alliance. Listed below are their names. Please write down your feelings if any and whether you think they would be a good fit for our alliance. If you don't know them feel free to ask me about them while you fill this out."
Wren's jaw dropped. "Eloise, I think this might answer some questions! Man, I hope Millie doesn't get upset that we found this, but she said we reminded her of some people and I think this is who she meant. And these are some great points to consider...whaddya say, guys? Should we write down our answers to get a better grip on a strategy?
For number seven, let's consider some people we might want to add... And obviously, we're only 3 members so consider us 3 for number 5..."
Wren wrote some names on the board: Cal Julian Minerva Thomas Reese Anyone else you've considered? We're running out of time.
