There is a letter posted in the common area written in crude hand writing.
"Our time to toy with the sponsors is nearing its end. The real games will soon begin. While we play the games, we all will need to take a ton or risks. So I plan on taking one of the greatest risks in hopes of gaining among the best rewards. Of course I am talking about the cornucopia.
So I am looking for any and all interested in joining me (or any interested in enlisting my help in any current alliances) to take on this endeavor. If you aren't willing to get get hurt before retreating, then I don't want your help. If you wouldn't take a blow for me or anyone else who joins us, then I couldn't trust you anyways. If I die but someone in my group ends up winning this thing, then I did my job. These games are basically a death sentence to most of us anyways.
As you will soon find out anyways, I am probably among the best in melee combat and I will be among the hardest tributes to kill. So I know I can handle myself, but I can't do it alone. So seek me out if your goals are aligned with mine.
Katie James"

William chuckled as he finished reading the notice. "She sounds desperate..." He found himsef again perplexed by how the majority of the tributes accepted their fates so easily instead of fighting. "It's like they onlysee one way of fighting this... like they don't have any options."
He penned, "I have no interests in dying at the cornucopia, but I still think we should talk. -William"

Decimus peers over William's shoulder as he finished his message. "Really? No cornucopia glory for you?,' he chuckled, 'Sounds like you lost your balls and Katie found them.' He steps in front of William and adds his comment to the letter.
'I humbly request you presence to elaborate on this proposition. Yours truly and forever, Decimus' it reads, Decimus takes a second to admire his writing. "I believe in truth and honor, and there is nothing more honorable than squaring up on the battlefield all your cards showing.' he says, 'Though I do admit the hunger games does call for some strategy. Maybe we should all get together and chat.' he finishes.

Katie walks by as some people notice her note.
"It's not that I think fighting is the only way. I see the fight as the best way to gain a large advantage. I also do not wish to die at the cornucopia (who would want to), but I am willing to go harder to win it. The risk of doing anything at the cornucopia is that you can die even if you think you are playing safe. I'm not going to just keep fighting at the cornucopia 1 v way too many. That's dumb.
However, a group of 4+ with a common goal and that stick together have a great chance at winning it. Someone has to win it after all. Since none of the alliances thus far have made their intentions too well known, I figured I may as well let mine be known so that they could find me. Also if no current alliance has that plan, then this way also seemed as good as any other way to find the few others who think along the same lines as me. Is that desperate? I probably should have made better connections with others than I have, but I guess the team plan matters more to me rather than how friendly they sound in a non threatening environment."
She turns to Decimus, gives him an evil glare and says, "I don't trust you and I don't like you. However, if you turn up to be the only other person who wants to try to go for the cornucopia, then I don't have many options. If we worked together, which I don't want to do, we would split the winnings and go our separate ways. I would take basically any other offer to work with others over yours. That's the truth that you say you 'believe' in."

"Oh, it can read?" William tacks on derisively. "Not very well it seems. It says 'dying at the cornucopia'... I have every intention of pilfering all the goodies we desire." He then turns to Katie and continues, "there's big olans for the cornucopia, secrets don't last long in here. If you want to talk more, let me know."

Derrin walked forward and noticed several people at a sheet of paper. He walked forward and heard them talking about the cornucopia. Derrin noticed William, Decimus, and Katie all there.
As they were talking which he mostly ignored he peeked around them to look at the paper. It read that she was trying to establish dominance at the cornucopia and wanted to make a temporary alliance just to get the goods. She wanted a solid position, without the need for back stabbing it seemed.
Derrin chuckled to himself and pulled out his tiny notebook. If anyone cared about him they may notice but honestly it did not matter to him. He wrote down on a sheet of paper and placed it directly next to the other one.
As he walked past the group he waved and said, “You guys are silly.” Unless someone stopped him, he would leave them to their talks. If anyone read the note ever it said,
Anyone looking for a good time? Does no one care if they win? Well join me. I plan to run around the map weaponless and try to have a vacation before I die. Chances are the people with me will die to our own hands when we are ready, but why not watch and mess with the people whom are entertaining us? Watch the cornucopia battle and cheer for your favorites, then try to survive by living off the land, talking, and just generally taking it easy.
If interested meet up with me, Derrin Verittia, in the lunch room before the Interview. Thanks and Happy Hunger Games!
Love, Derrin.

Age was just reading the note when she overheard Decimus and Katie discussing it. She had never talked to either of them and they both seemed like the intimidating brawler types. Her heart pounded. This was a perfect opportunity to join with some of the highest ranked tributes.
"Hey you two!" she spat out quickly before she lost the nerve. "You are looking for strength in numbers? I happen to be in an alliance that is discussing cornucopia strategy right now. We have some high ranking tributes among us and wouldn't mind an extra axe or fist on our side. Do you guys have time to chat?"

"Katie, what would you think about joining forces for the cornucopia? My team is planning on rushing the cornucopia and if we can all agree to not attack each other while we all collect supplies, we'll have a lot fewer enemies to worry about. And assuming things go well and everyone sticks together then we can talk about a long term alliance. What do you say?"
