Wren wandered back down to the main floor. He noticed the pods were successfully turned off, and he smiled. "Thank you, guys. Thanks for helping save all of our asses."
He sat in the spinny chair at the desk. "We still have some information to discuss as a group (allegiances we've learned), but I also think we should consider our plans for tomorrow. I'm sure everyone has their own agendas, but it's still a team effort in the end. Don't forget that. I know some of us were going to return to the tower tomorrow, but I also think it would be beneficial for a couple to stay, or even send one or two to the Depot. We need to secure as many control points as possible."
Wren looked at Cal. "Cal and I are considering staying here tomorrow, to take on any muttation pods or known enemies that come our way, and I can help keep the hospital under our control. Cal needs a chance at healing. Gwen, I have no doubt Val will be meeting you at that tower if that's where you decide to go."

Cal has entered the room about the same time as Wren, looking over the Hospital monitors. He's delighted to see that the pods really are offline, but was disappointed to see Julian had passed. He was unable to know his identity for sure, and he had a quick flash earlier that morning of Julian potentially unloading a pistol into Cal. He'll chalk that up to a paranoid fantasy and shake it off. "Well, at least most of us are still here." The display also updated the progress in the fight for the city. While pleased that the rebels were in striking range of victory tomorrow, he was wary of today's slow progress. Something had went wrong at either the Watchtower or the Market, their allies may need their assistance. "I'm in close agreement with Wren. We could end this war tomorrow, but only if we coordinate as a group. Thoughts?" Cal walks by Thomas, giving him a whisper.
"I'm sorry to hear about Julian, I know he was a friend of yours. Any word on Reese's background? We'll need this information to move forward."

Gwen chuckles, "It seems like everyone knew where I was headed before me." She shrugged, "Yea, I'm heading to the watchtower. Splitting up would be a good idea, as long as there aren't going to be anymore pods laying around. We need to make sure we aren't spreading ourselves too thin. We don't want a mistake screwing this all up when we're so close to taking down the Capitol."

Wren nodded. "I think we should either do 3-3 (tower, stay), or 2-4 split (4 here, since tower might get crowded). Since we know there will be allies in the tower with you, Gwen, I think I'd feel just a bit more comfortable if at least one of the others stayed here with Cal and I. That way, if we do get a new pod or if Sharlot comes over, we'd have enough people to take that on and still look for food or supplies."
Wren looked at Reese, "Look. Thank you for helping us, but we'll need to confirm your allegiance before moving on together. Once Thomas comes back, we'll know for sure because I think he got some info on you. Don't take it personally. Unfortunately, that's just the way we do things. Cal spied on me, despite our love. It's just better to know for sure, you know? Words aren't worth much in this war. Actions speak a little louder, sometimes. You haven't attacked any of us, so that's a good sign..."
Wren looked out the window towards the tower. "Considering how many friends we have in the market today, I'd suspect Sharlot went to the tower and out-hacked Lartius or something. Who knows. Wherever we all go, just be safe, be smart, and think about the group first. It's what got us all through today."
Wren considered one more point, "I doubt this, but is anyone here holding more than 7 days' worth of food? If so, we should consider spreading that out, to avoid death by starvation among allies."

"Alternatively, if we want to go for a quicker victory, we could split 2-2-2 with our focus on hacking control points and just hope Vester recalls the rest of those pods. I just don't see much chance of 2 people shutting those down alone."
Wren cleared his throat. "And that's assuming Dante was right about Reese. I hope he was."

"Look I get that you want to be the boss Wren, but you're certainly not the boss of me, let's not do that and we can get along just fine. If actions speak louder than words as you say then I don't need to say a thing, I've already helped out just as much as anyone else whether it was with that machine or with the baby. On the note of what to do I think we should all stick together more or less in case more of those things show up."
After contemplating further, "Y'know there's only 15 tributes left right? I'm guessing that I know quite a bit more than you at this point or else you'd have done the math. It is far safer to just not split up too much and wait for any of those machinations to finish others off."

Cal's been listening for a little while, taking in everyone's feedback. Noticing Wren's gone silent for a while, he decided to step in.
"Reese, you have a good point. There's only fifteen tributes left and a few may just starve out before the day's done. That would certainly make it easier when it comes to sharing supplies and scavenging."
His own stomach begins to growl loudly, he stamps his foot firmly on the ground, trying his best to silence it. "However, a fair number of those fifteen are our friends and allies. Nine total, to be exact. Every day that passes means more of them will succumb to their hunger. Rebels are four points away from finishing this war, ending this suffering a day early. It's not our only option but it bears consideration."
Cal stands up and walks to Reese, his shoulders square but his arms slack, his expression focused. "Wren is not the boss, and nor am I. Everyone gets their say and will make their own choice, I believe in that completely. Don't believe me? You're looking at a Peacekeeper fighting for the rebellion, and I chose this path for them." His finger points to Wren and Gwen.
"I know I'm likely going to die, but I've chosen to use what life I have left for a chance for them and all of our other friends to live. I apologize if I lead you to think any different, figured you should be in the know after what you've already done for us."

Wren stood and smiled. "Oh, I've done the math. I know that we're potentially a day, probably two days away from winning this war. I know that there are 2 remaining rebels we have yet to confirm, and you could be number 11. Or, maybe 11 and 12 died already before we could confirm them. We won't know that for sure until Thomas Windsnip comes around with information. But since you're a self-proclaimed know-it-all, tell me: do you know who I am? How could you? You didn't even know about the Accord... I may as well tell you, since the day's nearly over and even if you aren't on our side, there's not much you can do about it at this point. I'm Wren Hartwood, founder of the Phoenix Accord. We have a contract we abide by, and we've gotten this far by communicating, coordinating, planning, and organizing every act and every move we make as a team. That's probably why you disliked Holly and compared me to her, she's very much like myself in that manner. We actually work really well together and have spent the past week coming up with strategies and plans to keep everyone both safe and productive. If you look around at the Accord members, you'll notice something: they're all fiercely strong. We coordinate, communicate, and improve each other's skills. We focus on the big picture, and take productive team-focused actions to accomplish goals. I wouldn't expect someone like yourself to understand, since it seems you've been out there on your own this whole time, probably only worrying about yourself. I have 10 people I worry about and consider when making my decisions, not to mention all of Panem. In case you haven't realized, this isn't the Hunger Games with a single victor. It's a war. Multiple people can survive at the end of this, and that's exactly what we're aiming at. So, if you're really so smart, you'll consider working with us on organizing food distribution and movement plans, same as when we managed those pods. No one person could have done that on their own. It takes a team. This is no different." Wren sat back down. "So, this is another chance I'm giving you to be pleasant. Defensive attitude = not pleasant, and most importantly, not productive."

Reese yawned, "Good for you, I mean it. Don't tell me what to do and we'll get along fine. I never was a self-proclaimed know it all but it is funny that you think I care about your accord." She puts up quoty fingers mocking him, "If it was something I felt like I needed to know about I would've. We can work together perfectly fine, that's already been shown, but if you think I'm going to let you boss me around you're dead wrong."

Eloise rubbed her eyes as she let out a deep sigh. She walked across the room and ran her hand through Wren's hair. "This whole situation is fucked and we're all in it together. You're right we need to be careful, but that doesn't mean spiteful or rude. We're all here, right now, and actions mean more than words; you said so yourself. So let's plan our next move based on what we've seen. We know there's people like Sharlot running around who will try and attack certain people in this group. We also know that we may need to scavenge for pods and hack into them. So Mr. Lumberjack, let's plan off what we know." She stood next to Wren and faced the group. "I don't have a problem going to the Watch tower. I'm going okay and can help do whatever we need but spy on people. Which at this point might not be what we need. So at this point it's really up to Thomas and Reese on what they'd like to do. I'm willing to partner with either of you if you'd like to come to the Watch tower." I still have all 3 round for the P90 and if we find out she's a Peacekeeper, I can keep an eye on her. We also don't know for sure that Thomas is a rebel. For all we know he just didn't hack and used all of his time trying to get food and supplies. We just have to go off what we know for sure.

Wren tried his best to relax as Eloise ran a hand through his hair. "You're right, Eloise. We don't need to be rude." He directed the last word at Reese. "Or hostile, for that matter." "And as for recent actions, I'd assume Sharlot is in the tower, so she'd either stay there or come over here if that's the case. We know our pods are gone, but we could end up with a muttation or possibly even two, if one comes from either side. Eloise, do you know much about Anna? Do you know if she stayed at the Depot or went to Armory? That could be helpful to know, as well. The tower will likely have a large number of bodies tomorrow, so that could be a positive thing if everyone worked together on pods, or a negative if we're focusing on hacking control points. It really just depends on what our main objective is going to be: stay alive longer or end the war quicker." Wren shrugged. "I'd love to touch base with Holly, but I'm not sure I'll go back up there. I'm pretty torn, now, and not enough of us are speaking up yet. I hope we can make a plan soon..." He looked back at Reese, who had been repeating herself but doing nothing to keep the discussion actually moving anywhere, "Obviously, you're not going to take advice from anyone, so if you don't mind, please chime in with where you intend to go, and let us know if you have more than 7 days' worth of food." "Demetri and Holly told me Thomas was a rebel, so I assume they have evidence on that. They're not the type to jump to conclusions." He looked at Reese. "At this point, I'd love to kill her as well as Sharlot. She's really pissing me off. I'm pretty sure, by her hostile behavior, that she's probably a peacekeeper."

Watching the exchange, Cal tried his best to keep his composure. Once Reese had finished with her statements, the pressure was too much to contain, Cal broke down. He collapsed on the floor, starting with a slow giggle, building up into a loud roar of laughter. After many seconds, he starts to wipe tears from his eyes, having found his composure, he returns to his feet, a large grin on his face. "I'm sorry... but Wren, Reese has your number. Titles mean nothing to her, nor does past claimed deeds, intent or words for that matter. Just whatever actions she can witness, which is probably what got her this far in the first place." He walks up to Reese, still trying to stifle his grin. "Thank you for that, I needed a little tension breaker. But to our original points, actions do really matter. So far, your actions tell me that you're willing to work with others if it means you'll be keeping your ass alive. Has nothing to do with allegiance or willingness to aid others, which, is ridiculous to expect at this point. I'm good with you if you are, let me know what you'd like to do." Cal returns around to Wren's side, putting his arms around him for a light hug. "I'm sorry, you gave it your best. Know that I'm still here for you, and that we're all alive and well." He glances at Eloise, giving her an upward nod. "Thank you Eloise, I appreciate your offer to assist on the outgoing party. Once we have Thomas's input, we can make our final preparations." "Thank you Wren, I was just about to mention that Thomas has been vetted. We'll just have to plan around Reese as an independent factor. Honestly, I just think she's a stubborn scared rebel, but Thomas will let us know for sure a bit of her intent."

Wren tried his best to laugh at the situation, but was unable to due to the fact a war was happening all around them, and the fact that that cool little guy Julian had died just moments sooner. He was fun at the feast. I wish I'd gotten to know him better..."Fine. I guess all we can do now is wait for Gwen and Thomas to provide input, and for Reese to decide if she has anything helpful to say. Eloise, I'd love to spend another day with you if that happens to fall into the plan at all. If not, I understand. I just want to know for sure so I can say goodbye." He ruffled the hair of his pseudo-little sister. ooc: I almost want to fake her out. I think she might follow where I go and drive me crazy... I'm considering saying out loud that Cal & I will go to Depot or Tower instead, and the just put that I "leave" in my actions but whisper the location, visible to allies & admin/Vester...thoughts?
..and that still stands even if she's rebel. I just can't, you guys. I'm sorry. She's seriously starting to damage my calm. (ref! hope you got it lol) I hope Thomas signs on soon....

"Generally speaking I feel safer here since we already disabled the bots. Though I wouldn't mind tagging along with Eloise," Glancing her way, "If you wanna go, I'll probably do the same."
"Glad that at least someone sees where I'm coming from Cal, thanks." Finally walking over to Wren, "Anyhow though you asked about Anna. As far as I know she stayed behind at the Supply Depot but neither of us really had any contact with her. IF she's still alive that means that most likely someone else joined her there. To be honest I almost feel better going to the Depot or staying here rather than going to the watch tower."
Looking across the room, "In case there are any bots anywhere though I think we ought to travel in three's for safety's sake."
Turning back to Wren, "Well since you asked nicely, no, I don't have any spare food that you can have."

She sat down before quickly standing right back up and putting her hand up. "You know, the more I think about it, the more I think that at least some of us should head to the supply depot, if anyone wants to do that count me in. I'm hungry and there might be some food there, and something tells me that we might have lost it yesterday."

Gwen couldn't help but grin at the exchange between Wren and Reese. She almost felt like Reese was trying to get under Wren's skin.
"Reese, you should do as you please, as long it's not getting any of us killed, which you haven't attacked any of us yet so I trust you for now. Going to the Depot has it's merits. We can get this hell over with a lot faster if we can cover as much ground as we can, but if you want to play it safe you can come with me," Gwen turns to smile at Eloise, "and apparently Eloise now, unless she decides to join you at the Depot. I, for one, won't be changing my mind about the Watchtower. I wouldn't mind the company, but if it means ending all this more quickly I don't mind heading there alone." She shrugs and allows herself a goofy grin, "I just need to see about a girl."

Thomas observed the spat between Reese and Wren...best to stay out of that.
"Hey guys, sorry I've been so MIA lately. Reese, I did do some snooping on you and I willingly admit that- I hope you understand that it's nothing personal." He turned to the others, "I set up a recording device... But it isn't playing back. So unfortunately I can't confirm or deny anything yet. Hopefully the message will come in loud and clear soon."
"I walked past the morgue earlier and saw a small body... I think it was Julian. It's really too bad... He seemed like a sweet kid. He must have died of hunger - he wasn't very active. He didn't do anything yesterday or the day before. Cal- were you able to find out his allegiance? It could help us with our count to twelve."
He turned to Wren. "A few days ago, Cal was gracious enough to tell me a list of who is and is not a rebel. Which tributes are left that you aren't sure about? One thing I found out during day one is that Minerva is a peacekeeper - don't know if you knew that or not. "

Cal smiled at Thomas's entrance. Time was precious, little details.
"I don't know, I couldn't find out his faction before he had died. My results were also inconclusive, so I can't be sure what faction he was with."
With less than an hour remaining, he decided to focus on what they have gathered.
"Alright, me and Wren are aiming to stay. Gwen is going to the watchtower, Eloise has offered to come with there or go to the Supply Depot. Reese, you mentioned a preference to either stay here or go to the supply depot. Thomas, any preference for where you'd like to spend Day 8?"
OOC: Fun fact, Julian tried to post actions this morning, with dialog that would allude to what faction he is a part of. They were removed from the thread because... well he had died and tried to post actions after the deadline. I guess we can't factor that into our discussion in game. Seriously though, why didn't Thomas get his results? Reese is still with us.

With Gwen set on leaving, Cal decided now is as good a time as ever to say goodbye.

He gives her a tight embrace, one last fleeting moment before they begin their final journeys.

"I can be flexible... I am having a decent time hanging here- but as long as I'm with at least one of the other, I'm okay with whatever benefits the team most." He considered the options "So Gwen is for sure meeting Val at the tower? Will there be other allies there? If so, we should be good there. Where do we need people the most- I can be flexible, but it'd be nice to plan to meet up again... Maybe after a day to share information. Then again... We can do the most good by splitting up."

"Thomas, I think you'll be doing good wherever you go. You'll have a better chance of meeting Holly again at the Watchtower. I think your Holo device would be a great asset exploring the Supply Depot and navigating around pods. And we could always use a third man here in case peacekeepers/wandering pods drop by. I support whichever decision you wish, I think Eloise is good to fill in whatever gaps we have."

Thomas appreciated Cal's confidence I him as well as his kindness. He fiddled with his recording device trying to figure it out. Finally, he flipped a switch he hadn't seen before and he overheard an important message.
"Everyone! Reese was true to her word- she's a rebel!" He sighed with relief. "Sorry if anyone doubted you... Like the others said- it can be hard to know who to trust." It felt good to finally have closure.

Wren smiled. "Reese, I'm sorry for being overly cautious."
He turned to the rest. "I'm going to stay, with Cal. I'd feel more comfortable with at least one person staying, because frankly I'm terrified to take on Sharlot or a muttation pod with just the two of us here. So, Reese, Thomas, Eloise, whoever would like to stay, I'd love to have you."
