A Hidden Alcove in the Library

[Millie Cartwright]

Millie did her best to make the dusty alcove somewhat hospitable. It wasn't the cleanest or most comfortable meeting place but for somereason a bookshelf had been placed in front of it. Millie had only found it by chance when looking for books on identifying plants. She noticed a small crack in the wall at the end of the long bookshel. When she moved the bookshelf slightly along the wall she noticed there was a long disused space back there.

The only things back there were a dry erase board mounted to the wall, some lighting embedded in the far wall, and boxes of musty books that she had arranged as seats.

Once again it wasn't the nicest place but no one would find them here. Heck, she wasn't even sure if the cameras would find them here.

Well, best get this place as fixed up as I can. On the dry erase board she wrote in big letters: "The Primrose Accord"

[Mallory Sharpe]

Mallory slowly pushed the bookcase aside and slithered in. "This is the place huh?" She looked around, and noticed the board. "The Primrose Accord." She smiled. "I like it!"

[Jaden Fox]

"Well this is cute," said Jaden entering the small space Millie had prepared. "Wish I had found this spot when I was hiding from the Peace Keepers. Well, your highness," he addresses Millie in a playful mocking tone, "if I may propose the first discussion topic, I think we need to figure out which skills we have covered and if any of us can train together to learns skills that will cover our weak spots. As for me, I guarantee I'm the best ranged fighter in the whole lot of us."

[Mallory Sharpe]

"I'm really good at finding things! And hiding. You get a lot of practice in a district like mine."

She turns to Millie. "What about you Millie? What are you good at?"

[Millie Cartwright]

"Well my specialties are bladed weapons. I have two personally crafted blades actually. I'm also extremely good and being stealthy and scouting." I mean not to sound like I'm bragging or anything.

[Millie Cartwright]

"I could used some ranged training actually..."

[Millie Cartwright]

"Alright," Millie said starting to draw things on the board, "We're going to need either a person who is an expert at either hunting or gathering so that we have a ready supply of food. I can scout and create hidden places for us to hide with my knowledge of stealth.

We also need at least one person who knows each of the three main fighting styles. I know how to use a blade and he says he's good with a bow so that just leaves unarmed combat.

Lastly we need someone with some survival experience and definitely someone who knows how to make traps."

Millie took a deep breath after saying all that. The board was now littered with skills and diagrams. "Ok so where do we stand with that? Any one have unarmed training, survival, trap making, hunting, or gathering?"

Millie noticed she was kind of rambling at this point and got a bit embarrassed "Well not everyone is here yet but did I miss anything? This is our last night to train each other."

[Jaden Fox]

"Well as useful as those skills are, this unfortunately is not a hide and seek competition and we're going to have to diversify ourselves a bit. Seeing as we don't have a way of acquiring food, I volunteer to practice gathering. Maybe if one of you is willing to study plants with me I'll have a shot at mastering this before we get out in the arena."

[Millie Cartwright]

"Before we jump to training you in gathering I had invited David to the alliance earlier today. You may remember him from the green house he seems to know everything there is to know about plants."

"Unless there's any last minute objections I'm actually going to train with Decimus from my district tonight. We're in different alliances but we made a deal. I teach him the sword and he teaches me how to punch people in the face."

She looked around the room, "Besides I don't need to be trained in any of your skills since we'll be combining our efforts in the arena. Your best bet is to find someone outside our group to teach you a skill you don't know. Especially if you don't have a combat skill."

[Kimber Beck]

Kimber walked in. It was a nice, cozy place. She saw a board that was all marked up with different skills. She sat down quietly, trying to figure out what she missed on her own.

[Millie Cartwright]

"Kimber, welcome! Welcome to our secret head quarters," she said half seriously and patted a box of books for Kimber to sit on.

"We were just discussing skills so that we could figure out what assets we still need." Millie smiled, "would you care to share yours"

She looked around the room suddenly, "oh and don't you think we need a few posters or a lava lamp in here?"

[Kimber Beck]

"Well I've had to avoid and get away from peacekeepers for most of my life, so I guess I'm good at spotting people and hiding from them or getting away. I have some decent survival skills, too"

[Millie Cartwright]

"Do you have any combat skills Kimber?" She asked her. "If you need some you should find someone in our alliance to train you in some. And as a bonus they will get a bunch of sponsor points which is also great for us."

[Mallory Sharpe]

"You know Jaden, I uh, have some, um, a little skill with a bow. Do you think maybe we could, erm, practice today together? Maybe?"

[Kimber Beck]

"I worked a little with melee weapons the other day. I think I could handle myself if I need to. I was going to do some hunting or plant identification next."

[Millie Cartwright]

"Well, David just agreed to join our cause but I think he passed out on the archery range floor," Millie waved her hands in front of her face, "It was nothing I did to him!"

"If you run there now I'm sure he could teach you everything you need to know about plants," Millie smiled, "he considers himself a doctor so I went and made him our doctor."

"If you go now you might catch him," she paused, "hell I'll meet you there. He's a fun guy in a weird sort of way"

Millie's face lit up, "oh and he joined on a condition. We can't kill the girl from district twelve." She looked around the room, "got that everyone?"

[Jaden Fox]

Jaden jumped on the opportunity to get to spend some one on one time with Millie's cute friend. "Yeah, I'll show you what I can do with a bow! Meet me in the training room tonight and we'll do some target practice."

[Millie Cartwright]

"Hm well that makes this easy! It seems we're ALL headed to the archery range!" Millie smiled at Jaden. He already had a big grin on his face.

"I'm so glad Jaden is as happy about us working together as I am!" She thought to herself. "Now we can ALL be together!"

[Kimber Beck]

"Well, I think I will do some hunting if you three are going to the range."

[Mallory Sharpe]

"Well lets go then!" Mallory rushed out of the room, her ears burning.
