Day 5

[Thomas Windsnip]

"Yeah, I was traveling with Holly and Demetri when I first met Sharlot. Sharlot basically admitted that she was switching sides. Demetri and Holly managed to get out, but I wasn't so lucky. I got separate from them, and then next evening Sharlot and Harlie attacked me."

Thomas looked up at the Rebel signal. He was glad to know that he could trust Eloise. He figured that she must trust Cal as well. "Are the two of you traveling together? It seems that you trust each other."

[Cal Mensen]

Cal raised his eyebrows, moving his head back and forth. He concluded with shaking his hand in a 'kinda' motion.

"I came to help deliver the baby. I trust my life to Eloise, especially when it comes to doing the right thing. As for me... I'm on a shorter leash due to circumstances beyond my control."

Cal walks closer to Thomas, allowing his voice to drop down to the level of a whisper.

"I am a Peacebringer, a true peacekeeper having joined the Phoenix Accord, or, greater rebel cause. I had admitted to it during training, when attempting to join their alliance. Its why Sharlot sought me out during training and told me of her peacekeeper status. In turn I had told Wren, who went and told any ally who would listen. Day 1 I spied on her, confirming her identity and stole her token. I suspect she still holds a grudge, I can't imagine her giving me a favorable reputation."

Cal sighs, sits down in front of the two of them.

"I'm sorry for what she's done to you, but you deserve to know what I am. I can't imagine that won't sire much trust from you, not after what you've gone through. Trust is earned, so I don't expect it now. That's why you want to talk to her."

She points at Eloise.

"I'll be a stand-in for the time being. You both can hear everything I say, so she can refute me if I speak incorrectly. If you have any questions about me, personally, then I'd be glad to answer them."

He finishes the last statement with a small smile. At least he's found conversation.

[Thomas Windsnip]

"Well I'm glad someone was willing to help her with that baby!"

I am not one to attack unprovoked and I can give you my word that I won't attack you, if you give me yours. Of course, if you do end up being a turn cloak, you should know that I'm armed and proficient with a weapon. I am hoping to reconnect with Holly, maybe I can travel or stay near the two of you until that time? I really like what I know of Julian from the training days, but I don't know his allegiance. Do either
of you know for certain?"

[Cal Mensen]

Cal smiles.

"Same here, unfortunately everyone is very busy with this war going on. They tend to lose sight of what's important."

OOC: Hey Thomas, if you tried to whisper to me in your last post it's not displaying correctly on my end. You'll want to enter cal for my username, otherwise I can't read what you typed. If you can, please copy me in a follow up post and try again if you wanted to whisper me. If not, then carry on as if nothing happened.

Thomas was glad to hear that Cal also seemed to understand what's important in life.

OOC- I must have goofed or something. Here is what I said, hopefully this works- let me know!

Cal nods, happy to have been able to help what will probably be the most noble act in the rebellion.

Cal freezes as Thomas explains Sharlot's possible descent into darkness. He may have been responsible for creating his nemesis, turning a peacekeeper back towards the Capital. After a few seconds of contemplation, his composure rebounds.

"She's clever, but still coming up short. Day 1, she attempted to hack the Watchtower point before I ever stole from her. If she really turned full Peacekeeper because of me, why would she have attempted to hack for the peacekeepers beforehand?"

He takes in a deep breath, trying to clear his head.

"I imagine this means anyone in the Supply Depot or Armory would likely shoot me on sight. This is good to know. As for us, Thomas, I appreciate your word to not attack. I wish for us not to come to blows, as we are both injured, and I only have a pistol left with one shot. I'm saving that to end that bitch."

He looks around for Julian, certain he had seen him earlier. He recalled the young man's words and nodded.

"I don't think either of us have spied on Julian, so I'm uncertain of his allegiance. Personally, I would be careful around him, he strikes me as a tyke-bomb. We know now that he at least has a handgun and I believe he was trying to play up his age around Eloise. If the Hospital has been Peacekeeper controlled for so long, why did it take until Eloise to reclaim it for the rebellion?"

He looks back to Eloise, hoping she will put in her two cents before the night is over.

"From what I've been told, Holly should be at the Market today. We have a lot of allies there at the moment, with a friend or two in the Watchtower. I'd like to regroup with them to figure out our next choice of action, but I'm also concerned on supply constraints. The Watchtower can only sustain 2 food per day, and I imagine both our group and the Market will be moving people there. The Hospital should remain secure if we wish to end this war early, so that brings us to an important question: who stays, and who goes?"

[Eloise Sugarglider]

"Cal I may need to go to the supply depot to see if there's more medical supplies. They're trying to help Aramis but they dont have what they need. I dont know what to do. Maybe we can help hack there as well, I dont know what to do!"

[Cal Mensen]

Cal closed his eyes, frustration welling across his face. After several moments, he takes a deep breath.

"We all want to go home, meet up with our allies and figure out what to do next. But that takes time, something we don't have a lot of."

He looks at both Eloise and Thomas.

"I don't want to go to the supply depot, I'll likely not walk back. But we can do a lot of good if we go together. The three of us would need to agree to go, it's our best shot to make a strike at Peacekeeper territory and do what's right in the process."

He turns to Thomas.

"I know this is the last place you'd like to go. Where you go is your choice, but I'd appreciate having another ally watching my back."

Cal turns back to Eloise.

"We need to do this together. If I don't make it back, you tell Wren and Gwen what happened. You make Aramis healthy, you win this war and you all live."

[Eloise Sugarglider]

Ooc: didnt see the second page of convo before my last post.

"I think the supply depot is where we coukd dothe most good, but its a risk. There's a possibility I might be safer on my own since I have no confirmed alliance with any of them."

[Thomas Windsnip]

Thomas tried to take in all that he had heard. "Oh the supply depot! It sounds awful doesn't it? But those girls were both unarmed when they attacked me. Eloise, are you armed? So Wren and Gwen are for sure both safe? Eloise you're not seriously considering going there alone are you?"

He then turned to Julian. "What about you, have you been here the whole time?"

[Eloise Sugarglider]

"I can handle myself. Again, anyone there wouldn't know much about me yet."

[Thomas Windsnip]

"Okay Eloise, I believe you. I just ask you to ensure that you try to stay safe. Absolutely do not reveal your true alliance to Sharlot or Harlie, because they are vicious and will take you out. Are you atleast armed?"

[Eloise Sugarglider]

"Sharlot can try. There's no way to know if she'll even be there, but yes, I'm armed.  Maybe someone stay here in case I need a safe haven?"

[Thomas Windsnip]

"That's true. Glad to hear you're armed. Don't mention your allegiance to Cal... I tell you she is salty towards him!"

He then turned to Cal. "I believe you that she was shady from the start. I think she was just trying to get people to feel sorry for her so that we wouldn't attack.... I'm the idiot for believing her. She is sure sneaky! It's always the quiet ones." He laughed aloud at his own joke. Sure she was an avox, but she was also a turn cloak, so he felt he had a right to make distasteful jokes. "Anyway... Are you staying here tonight?"

He turned back to Eloise. "If you run into Holly, please tell her I'm looking for her, and that I didn't mean to get separated from her."

[Cal Mensen]

Cal considered both of their words. As much as he wanted to go at this as a group, maybe a spread team effort will be more effective.

"Eloise, please stay safe. I'll see if I can grab more Accord members and bring them in your direction. I can also let them know what's going on, rather than leave them wondering why we left."

He turns to Thomas.

"If I run into her, I'll let her know you're looking for her. Do you think you can hold down the fort yourself?"

Turning back to Eloise, he unlocks his gun holster, presenting it to her.

"I know it isn't much, but I think you'll be needing it more than I am. Plus, if you run into Sharlot, I'd rather it be used on her than some random Peacekeeper. Will you take it?"

He draws her in for a hug, holding her for a moment.

"We'll finish this together, please come back to the Hospital Day 7."

[Thomas Windsnip]

"I think I should be safe here. Are you headed back to the watch tower then? I can go or do whatever you think is most useful. If that's staying here, I can do that too."

[Cal Mensen]

"I think that would be best. Eloise, what say you?"

[Eloise Sugarglider]

Eloise looked at Cal, and sighed.



"Cal I can't take that. I don't think I'd even be able to use both that and the weapon I'm carrying at the same time. I appreciate your offer, but I'll be fine. Just make sure you take care, and let my little lumberjack know his red-headed sister is going rogue."



Eloise then turned to Thomas and Julian, "Whatever you guys do, be safe. I can feel tension in the air. It's not just here, but...I think the fate of our generation will be decided in the next few days. Stay sharp!"

Cal I'll be here again on day 7 to drop the supplies off for Aramis.  I'll head to the watch tower on day 8 if I don't find you here on day 7.  But I refuse to go to the market again.  I stocked up on food cause I knew it would be a blood bath.

Thomas should stay here to make sure it stays in rebel control.  With Julian here he might need the weapon more than I do depending on where his allegiances lie.  Thomas I'll find you here on Day 7 and regroup.  You're one of ours now whether you like it or not.

Thomas watches as his two new friends are about to leave. "Okay guys. Before you go can we go over who is safe and who isn't? It seems like Holly, Wren, and Gwen are for sure safe. Is there anyone else we know we can trust? Alternatively - Harlie and Sharlot are not safe. Who else do we know we can't trust?"

Thomas was really starting to regret not paying more attention during the training days.

Although Cal had left awhile back, Thomas finds a note was stuffed into his pocket written by the young man.
