Post by Holly Edison on Dec 16, 2015 10:14:11 GMT -6
Holly made her way as quickly and quietly as she could through the hallways of the complex. She'd left messages and directions to as many people as she could and hoped that would be enough. I did what I could for everyone. I hope they understand. The faster we move, the better off we'll be. She could hear yelling and movement from all directions and knew this was her chance, slipping down the corridors and being careful to avoid the Peacekeepers efforts to hunt down the scattered tributes she headed for the gardens.
There might be Peacekeepers securing the border, but with the security systems down I should be able to break down the fence.
The gate was locked. Guess they cleared it, hopefully I can still get through. It looks weak enough, I guess they never figured their security systems would go out this fully. That's what you get for being cheap.
Looking around to ensure the coast was clear, Holly took a chance and kicked hard at the lock.

KLANG
Shit. That was loud.
She slipped through the gate and closed it as best she could behind her, hooking the broken lock through the gate. No sense leaving an obvious trail, but maybe it will help the others. The gardens were deserted and she was glad for it. Making her way to the far hedgerow, the branches were thick and she found she could use them now to lift herself over the high outer wall. Throwing herself over as quickly as possible, she landed on her feet and tumbled. Not too bad.
Dusting herself off Holly ran for the Markets - she only hoped she would meet up with her team there.
Good luck, guys. Be safe. 1d10+2

Wren was satisfied with his goodbyes. He'd been able to check with some friends and most importantly -see Cal. All he could hope for at this point was some sort of loyalty, and some peace at the closure of this chaotic scramble. He fled the roof and sprinted toward the Market. There were search lights everywhere, so Wren did his best to sneak around as he darted between hedges and statues.

He made just as Holly was carefully setting the lock in place. Perfect. He slid the lock up, slipped through the gate, and replaced the lock as Holly had done. He just hoped to see the right faces at the Market.
Stay safe. Be smart.1d10+2

Post by Eloise Sugarglider on Dec 16, 2015 13:28:35 GMT -6
Eloise had no intentions of staying around and getting taken by Peacekeepers. She watched as Holly broke through the front gate. The noise drew half a dozen peacekeepers.
Eloise covered her mouth and joked back a gasp as she witnessed Wren sneak right past a set of roving guards watching the front exit.
Unwilling, and unable to find an opportunity to sneak past the guards, she followed a drainage ditch to the back fence.
It was a tight fit, but after ten minutes of struggling, and what seemed like an eternity of sewage water, Eloise made it to the other side.
As she started her journey to the market, Eloise contemplated the people she found herself aligned with. She was positive they werent all truthful about their allegiances but at this point she had to work with them just the same. For now.
She hadnt planned on killing anyone but then again, she found herself doing a lot of things she hadnt planned on.

Demetri charged down the hotel wing's hallway. There was no time for sneaking around, and even if there was, Demetri was too large a person to even try it. By the time the Peacekeepers saw Demetri down the hall he was already barreling towards the exit.
"See ya, suckers!" he called back to them as he sprinted out into the courtyard and towards the Market.

Wallace didn't know where any of his friends were headed. He ran down a hallway after he made sure it was all clear. It was dark and he was afraid of running into the peacekeepers who would surely kill him if he was caught. Grinding his teeth he navigated his way out of the tribute center.
My odds of survival aren't exactly better at this point Wallace thought as he ducked down behind a short wall to avoid a group of patrolling peace keepers. When he peaked his head over the wall he spotted Eloise sneaking away. Wallace tried his best to follow her and get her attention, but he couldn't see a way to do that without alerting the peacekeepers that were swarming all over the grounds. He kept pace with her and hid when he had to. He saw her crawl through a drainage ditch and waited to see if she would come back out. After she didn't return for about ten minutes, Wallace made his way in himself. He was still small enough to fit through, he was glad in that moment to have adopted his mothers slender frame rather than his fathers wide shoulders.
Once he was out he ran towards the Market and hopefully his allies.

Cal crept along the hallways, Venser's words still ringing in his ears. "Open fire if you hear any tributes in the public space." He hoped that... everyone got out okay. He and Val maneuvered through the corridors, evading patrols and blockades before reaching the outer fence. As they approached a hole to escape through, he turns to Val.
"You have every reason to suspect me, I understand. Know that it was my doing to create this ambiguous image. If nothing else, I've proven today that I am a peacekeeper and Wren is not. Otherwise I'd have been shot instead."
With those last words, he drops his gaze to the ground.
"If you sensed any good will from me through our time here, please let me help you. I just wanted to get this out in case we get separated. If we do end up in the same place, I have more to tell you. The Accord has been compromised..."
Despite the bleakness of it all, he still manages a small smile.
"I really did like the nickname you gave me. Hope I can live up to it."
Cal sticks around long enough to wait for a reply. Whether she says anything or remains silent, he nods, acknowledging her words and sprints off to the Watchtower.

Sharlot looked out her hotel window. A drop from the 3rd floor would not end well. She would have to find another way down. The stairwell was likely filled with Peacekeepers and the elevator had been shut down. Could she get it working again? Sharlot sprinted across the hall into the elevator. She pulled off the control panel and got the doors to close behind her just as she heard footsteps coming down the hall. She hot-wired the elevator to an emergency power line and got it to descend down to the ground level. When the doors opened it was a race to the exit. Peacekeepers were shouting from down the hall, but Sharlot had a head start on them. She threw open the exit doors and made it into the Courtyard, catching a glimpse of Demetri running off in another direction.
Sharlot could see the Watchtower in the distance. She looked back to see if any of her teammates were following her, but they were nowhere in sight. She couldn’t wait around so she took off running hoping the rest of them would catch up.

It was a weird string of sentences to hear from someone after giving the speech she had just give but then he hadn't been there for the speech so perhaps it was lucky he had gotten delayed from reaching the kitchen.
There was time to worry about being stabbed in the back by him later. People were getting shot left and right and she didn't want too be next.
"Look I don't care where your allegiances lie right now," she said finally as they reached a supply door that had been left open in the chaos, "You've been a good friend, you've been shot, and we need to rendezvous with the others."
He nodded at her and started sprinting away so she followed suit and headed towards the Watchtower as well.
"The Accord has been compromised..." the words echoed around her head.
Val looked back hoping to see Gwen somewhere behind her. "It seems like we have an interesting conversation ahead of us when we can stop worrying about dodging bullets," she shouted above the alarms as she ran after him.

Gwen watched for a few moments as everyone ran out of the room. This was better than having to duke it out in the arena, right?
Sneaking around the guards was no problem. It reminded Gwen of the mob bosses she would have to listen in on. As she headed towards the watchtower she couldn't help but grin as the adrenaline pumped through her veins.

Deo left shortly after his district partner, careful to hide his track from whoever could be following him. He spent a moment deciding how he was going to get over the Training Center's fence before seeing the broken pad lock. "Definitely Holly's work," Deo smiled to himself. He tread through brush until the lights of his destination flared in front of him. "Let's hope the watchtower was the right choice," he thought to himself.

She saw everyone running to different areas, the watchtower for a higher vantage point, the market for supplies. In ehr mind, she thought there was only one place that really made sense. She prepared to go to the armory, knowing fully well that not only would there be weapons there, but probably danger.
This is what she had expected, right? She hoped the tributes that followed would help her...

The other tributes were sprinting through the fences and checkpoints as Dante watched from the shadows of the loading dock.
That's Cal and Wallace, there's Demetri and Wren... Hard to see where they are all running to.
Frantic shouts came from the northern part of the compound as reinforcements of peacekeepers surged to block the exits.
Dante risked a glance around the wall to the west, and spotted Minerva heading toward the armory. Alone.
"Announcing your plans;" whispered the District 5 tribute. "...is a good way to hear the Capitol laugh."
Keeping low along the scattered pallets and supplies of the loading dock, Dante made his way toward the Armory.

Nelson was beginning to see how the games were set up....how would he get away from all this? He saw a fair amount of tributes running to the Market and the Armory...solid plays on both ends. Food and weapons. All important things but there were an awful lot of people that were going to be fighting over the same things in those locations and...was decidedly not in Nelson's favor. He thought about where else he could go....medical supplies. Not as risky as going into the room of weapons and not as obvious as going into the market for food. Soon medical supplies would be scarce....maybe some food in there too. Survival equipment. Yes. 10/10 would recommend.
"LATER BRAHS" he waved as he sprinted towards the HOSPITAL.

Thomas thought he caught a glimpse of Minerva heading to the armory. She has been kind to him during the training days, and he knew they worked well as a team. Perhaps they could help eachother out. He headed toward the ARMORY, shortly behind Dante. Dante seemed to know a lot about the games - perhaps Thomas could learn a few things from him.

Lartius ran as fast as he could out of the hotel. Getting to safety was obviously the first priority. He knew he lacked the strength to take anyone on, and the armory was bound to attract the strongest tributes. The idea of a secure supply of food crossed his mind, but the rush of tributes to the market made him nervous. "Well," he thought to himself, "in times like these survival is key." But where could that location be? Looking around, Lartius smiled to himself. "Of course." He then turned the corner and made his way to the hospital.

Janet watched the tributes scatter around to various destinations. As she jogged down a side passage she saw Dante going towards the armory, good move. A couple other tributes she hadn't gotten to know went that way as well.
Slipping away without being spotted, Janet made her way to the Armory.

Watching the other tributes scramble to their preferred destinations, Lucan slowly ambled in the direction of what he hoped was the supply depot. "Let those other assholes get c-caught out together, it's always safer to go it alone." He goes on, ears straining for the slightest hint of danger. Ducking into shadows whenever footsteps approached and keeping wary of both peacekeeper and tribute alike, Lucan slowly works his way into the looming towers of cargo crates.

Still stumbling around the training facility, she'd be left behind, no thanks to the lockdown doors leaving her stranded and slowing her escape. Letting out a slow whistle, "Anyone here? Hello? Anyone..."
...
"...Guess not." A tin can being blown across the courtyard broke the eerie silence. "Better see if I can find a bite to eat before leaving this dump."

She heard some loud footsteps off in the distance and then suddenly gunfire. "Well guess that's the sign to get the hell outta here." and quickly sprinted off to the ARMORY.
