A Late Night in the Library

Sharlot walked the quiet dark halls to the library. Now that the Training Days were over, most tributes seemed to have better places to be than the media library. So now was a perfect time.

The automatic lights flickered on as Sharlot entered the silent room and she sat down at a computer in the corner. She quickly bypassed the administrator's security once again and she set to work. Her hands were shaking a bit as she thought about what would happen if she were to trip some sort of alarm and Peacekeepers showed up. It had to be somewhere... Archives... no. Tribute Information... no. Security cameras... no... Aha!

[Peacekeeper]

"Hey! You there!" The Peacekeeper shouted to the nearly empty library. "Stop what you're doing immediately and come with me."

[Eloise Sugarglider]

Why was a peacekeeper here?

"Leave her alone! What are you doing!?"

How did they get here so fast? Were they looking for me or are they just clearing out the Training Center? Sharlot thought. There was no telling what appendage they'd cut off next if that Peacekeeper saw the confidential files she was accessing. Sharlot quickly pulled the plug off her computer.

Then Eloise burst into the room to defend Sharlot. Pretty gutsy of her, Sharlot thought. Stupid even, seeing as the Peacekeeper was armed. But maybe Eloise was more trustworthy than she thought. Respect.

Sharlot nodded to the Peacekeeper to show compliance and walked with him. Best to not cause any more trouble.
