"Hey, everyone! Guess who got some juicy information! That's right. Me."

Demetri gathered around with the others. Gwendolyn had been spying on the Game Maker and Demetri couldn’t be more curious as to what could be going on. The Game Maker never made appearances in the Training Center.
“I bet the victors are going to be included in the games somehow. I’d be up for a challenge. I think we could take them down!”
“So am I right? What did you find out?” he asked anxiously.

Gwendolyn cleared her throat dramatically, "Well, my dear Demetri, the victors do seem to be involved in the games, but not quite how we would imagine it. I overheard Vester mention something that was written on the library wall. It seems to have gotten the Capitol's panties all in a bunch. So I went to the library to see what I could find. It wasn't obvious so I asked Sharlot. She seemed to have spent a lot of time in there so I figured she would know what's up. She told me Millie showed her and a few others her old hang out with the Primrose Accord. The writing Vester might be talking about is Millie having written "No one dies if we don't play the game." Seems inconsequential, but I think Millie is trying to make another Primrose Accord." Gwen leaned back in her chair with her hand behind her head. "What do you guys make of it? I'm more so curious of anything that gets the Capitol wound up."

Hmm. Another Primrose Accord?
"It's true though. If people refused to fight, it's not like they would have any more victors..."

"Millie may make another group, but how will that really affect us in the Games?" He leaned forward across the Loading docks' makeshift table.
"I'm feeling very good about our odds at the moment, as we make a good team together." He nodded toward the assembled tributes. "But even with the Accord's unity, they were picked apart two years ago. Why would that change now?"
Dante had a long history of idolizing the Hunger Games victors. For the first time he actually wondered what Millie would be doing...
"Has Millie found a way to change the Hunger Games?"

Gwen shrugged. "It's a numbers game out there. Millie didn't exactly have numbers on her side her year. If we were to join together. Who knows what would happen? What would it be like to see a huge group of tributes not playing the game?"
Gwen smiled. She wasn't really into the games, but she did like the idea of messing with the Capitol. If she was going to die she might as well make things interesting. She always did have a problem with authority.

"Maybe we should invite Millie in here to talk about her plan with her new Primrose Accord. If we can get all the tributes on the same page, maybe we can actually make something happen. Only thing is... some of us are Peacekeepers and there's no way of knowing who's who. Do you think the Peacekeepers will rat everyone out?"

"Maybe we should invite Millie in here to talk about her plan with her new Primrose Accord." "Wait, you think she'd come and, and... help organize us?" Dante was feeling lightheaded at the thought. First I'm sparring with the Agni Sparks, now Millie Cartwright herself could be helping plan another Accord?! "Count me in!"

"On second thought maybe we're overanalyzing this. Maybe Millie is just mentoring another alliance. Bringing her in would just leak information to the other team. What if instead we invite Agni or Ayla? It sounds like Millie may already be tied to another group, and I'm thinking we should get our own victor to help organize us."

"Seems like Agni is around; but only to mentor us and show off. Has anyone heard him mention the peacekeepers this year, or if he's making a group like Millie's?"
His eyebrows furrowed a moment, looking for pieces to put together.
"Ayla Farrow could be involved somehow too... Maybe the victors know something we don't."
Dante's eyes met Gwen's. "Is Millie looking for our group to join up with hers? We can't trust everyone to figure this out once we're in the arena."

Gwen grinned, "I can sure as hell find out what Millie is planning. Trouble is finding them these days."

"I think, that doesn't make a ton of sense. Millie, I mean. Wasn't her whole aim saving people? I don't think she'd mind trying to raise her numbers. The other victors... seem a little more interested in the hoopla of the Capitol, the pomp and circumstance and the standard role of a mentor. I think Millie is probably more invested in the people she helps."
Holly paused to gather her thoughts.
"Anyway, large groups at this point seem like a bad idea. The more people in any alliance the larger the chance of having admitted a Peacekeeper. And who knows what their role will be once this thing starts? Our group is already pretty sizable and recently grew by one. I'm open to anything anyone wants to add. But, I say if Millie is planning something we should stay on that group's good side until later when we know more."

"Eh," Val rebutted, "the more the better I say." "Besides," she continued, no one ever said that the peacekeepers were on some team. They may be in it individually as well..."
She kicked at the dirt on the floor, "I mean if we spread that thought around maybe it'll rattle around in some peacekeeper minds and convince them to rethink their allegiances."
Valeria yawned, "at the very least I think we should go ahead with this whole Millie thing." "Agni is a bit of a barbarian and Ayla has been a bit of a ghost," she continued, "at the very least we at least gain some insight into how the arena works."

"I agree, let's bring Millie in and see what she has to say."
Holly looked at her fellow tributes, this band of raucous and lively individuals was a stark contrast to the other groups she'd seen presumably banding together. If it doesn't work out with Millie and whatever she's planning at the very least our chances seem to be better if only by way of brute force. Maybe, we won't need it.
"So, anyway have a way to do that?"

"We could just be blunt with her? There's no for sure chance we will be able to get her alone in time, and trying to be secretive about it could just waste time."

"Then I say we go for it wholeheartedly and bring her in!" concluded Valeria
"and if we can't," she added, "tomorrow lets just stick together and NOT run into the cornucopia."
Val laughed, "That's how you die and we need to stick together..."

"I agree! I don't think it's in anyone's best interest to rush the cornucopia. I think we need to run off and regroup. Whatever the plan is after that, we can figure out. Right now, we should focus on Millie and what she might have to say."

"I agree with you, Holly. Whatever Millie knows or is planning is something we should learn more about if she's going to unite the tributes."
Glancing over at Val and Gwen, Dante took a moment to enjoy the camaraderie. I'm so glad Valeria pulled me back to the bar; she has a way of making friends look easy.
"Speaking of the tributes, Wren has been trying to find our entrance through the maintenance elevator lately. He seems to be everywhere, which could mean anything. Anyone have a good read on him?"

"Too eager, too friendly. I'm suspicious. He's either oblivious, or oblivious like a fox. I don't trust him at the moment."

"I don't trust the kid as far as I can throw him," Valeria added.
She thought on this for a second, "on second thought I could toss that little kid pretty far so I trust him a lot less than that."
"Besides," she added, "If you've been watching him he seems to have spying and tactics as his strong points which doesn't lend itself to a trustworthy sorta guy."
Valeria glanced around the room at all of her friends, "Look, no matter what, lets stick together. Whether we're peacekeepers or tributes we're all fighting for out lives no matter what sort of wedge the arena tries to throw between us. So, if you feel any sort of camaraderie for each other. Any sort of trust. Even if Captain over there," she said motioning at Dante, "was outed as a peacekeeper on day one I'd still fight for him just the same."
She smiled, "for better or worse you're all my friends and if that gets me stabbed in the back so be it."
"Just if you do," she grinned widely, "at least make it a quick death."
Valeria grabbed a piece of paper from a nearby shelf and scribbled something on it.
"Look its corny and I'm all outta bracelets," she sighed, "But whatever side I end up on I'm not gonna kill any of you unless you come at me first."
She scrawled her name down.

Gwen grinned. "It is corny. I like it. Nothing more honest than that." Gwen signed her name. "You guys are my drinking buddies and my dance partners. I trust that more than anything right now." Gwen paused to consider the words about Wren. "You make some good points about Wren. I just thought he was a bit like a puppy dog. Overeager an kind of annoying, but overall harmless." She shrugged, "What do I know?"

Demetri smirked. As if writing your name on paper really meant anything in the Hunger Games… Nobody was safe. But Demetri had grown really attached to this group and it would be a shame if it came down to the lot of them in the finale.
“You guys might not believe me after the things I said in the interview, but you can trust me on this: While I’m vengeful to the people that cross me, I’m doubly loyal to the people I love. I’ve been open and honest with you guys since day one, so…”
Demetri signed ‘Beardly’ on the paper.
“I’m all in with you guys.”
“And even if you don’t trust me… You have to admit it’s the preferable option to having me as an enemy, so it looks like you’re stuck with me!” he laughed.

Dante signed his name, smiling as he passed it back onto the table.
"The best plan to have is to stay together with allies; and there are no better allies than friends, like you."
Pausing to look into the assembled tributes eyes, Dante continued.
"Whatever happens, let's fight the arena first and any hostile tributes second."

Taking the paper from Dante and smiling at the group of tributes names collected at the bottom Holly took the pen from the table and signed her name.
"Maybe this won't mean much once we're facing our deaths, maybe it will. But I can't think of a stronger group to have around me and to fight with. I'm in."
