A tall tree rooted in the stone chamber bears large fruit on its high branches. It looks like the ripest fruit is at the very top. Action | Requirement | Result | Climb for low hanging fruit | Athletics score 6
| +1 Food Level | Climb to the top for the ripe fruit | Athletics score 8 | +2 Food Level |
NOTE: When you roll the die you must specify which fruit you are going for. If you choose to go for the low hanging fruit and roll an 8, you do NOT get the ripe fruit.

Derrick grinned widely up at the trees.
"I'll race you guys to the top! I'll throw the losers down some fruit!"

The trees were flimsier than he was used to. He paused in the middle of the tree.
"Heh. Maybe I should have studied the trees a bit better."

Ayla observed Derrick fail in his attempt to reach the high fruit. Derrick was incredibly athletic, yet he had not managed to make it up to the top of the tree. Ayla was far less athletic, so she decided to try to go for the lower fruit. She had not managed to procure any food yesterday, and she certainly needed to eat soon. She set her eye on a plump fruit near the bottom. It didn't look ripe yet... but it would have to do.

Ayla tumbled to the ground, like an idiot. "Shit!" she gasped. She really wished she would have spent more than one day at the gym. Nevertheless, she tried again.

"Excellent!" she shouted. She had managed to grab the fruit. It had been much easier the second time around, now that she had learned from her original mistakes. She wished she had gone for the higher up fruit, but by the time she did get some fruit she was too tired to try again. She was just thankful to have any food.

Ox had made it through the maze and was watching everyone climb the tree's for fruit, this was something he used to do all the time back home. This was his time to shine.
"I'm going for the top fruit!!!!!" He yelled to the others.

Upper body strength was not Rosa's best skill. Years of riding horses had improved her lower body giving her better agility and balance but hoisting herself up on branches was not her specialty. She shrugged to herself, "Might as well try," she mumbled and she reached for one of the low hanging fruit.

Rosa hoisted herself up to a bottom branch and reached for one of the strangely colored fruits. She had never seen a fruit like this before so she prayed it was not poisonous but right now she just needed food. As she outstretched her hand, perched on a branch, she felt her balance slipping and within seconds she was tumbling to the ground. But as she hit the floor with a resounding thump she smiled to herself because in her hand was a piece of fruit.

Arnie watched intently as some of the tributes tried to grab the fruit from the tree. Sketching out a chart on the floor, Arnie huddled and did some basic math. The group may as well not waste their efforts and it seemed like there may be a most efficient way to tackle these challenges.
"Hey guys, I think I have something." Arnie yelled to the group as he finished his sketch. "It looks like we can maximize our return here if we play it smart. If you aren't the mostly climbing inclined you are best off going for the low fruit. If you're a good but not great it's a wash either way. If you really know your stuff you are much better off going for the low fruit since you are so likely to succeed."
Arnie studied his chart and made sure all the math was right. He knew that the numbers on the chart represented their expected return on an action and the bigger the number was, the better.
Low Fruit (Expected Return per Action in Food) +0 = 0.375 +1 = 0.500 +2 = 1.250 (Max of one)
High Fruit (Expected Return per Action in Food) +0 = 0.250 +1 = 0.500 +2 = 0.750

After studying his chart Arnie decided to go for the high fruit. He expected the same return regardless but if he succeeded there would be a bigger payout. Based on what he had provided for the group so far, a nice ripe fruit would be welcome and keep his friends on their feet longer.
Arnie rubbed his hands together and tried to remember what it felt like to be in the fields, climbing and having fun. It seemed like it had been so long ago.

As Arnie slid back down the tree, victorious and with fruit in hand he nudged Ox. "Was it this one you were going for?" Arnie chuckled and relished in his success. Now exhausted, he sat and watched the others and hoped they would be as lucky as he was.

Climbing was proving to be a difficult task without the ability to put much weight on his legs. But Seth was determined to give it one last go.

Ox roared with Laughter at Arnie.
"You got me man. I tried my best too!" Ox slapped his leg while he chuckled.
He had tried to climb all the way to the top but he had missed a branch and came tumbling down onto his rear, Luckily without harm.
