After the janitor finished cleaning the common area, Seth followed him from a distance down a series of hallways until the janitor stopped in a quiet back area of the Training Center in front of a door labeled “Maintenance”. The janitor lazily pushed his cart into the Maintenance closet and then turned and continued down the hallway without locking the door behind him.
When the janitor was out of sight, Seth pushed open the door to the Maintenance Closet. It was a bit small and smelled strongly of vinegar, but Ayla was right: it was a perfect private meeting space. There were some folding chairs stacked against the wall but more importantly, no cameras.
Seth set up the chairs in a circle and waited for the others to arrive.

Ayla entered the room to see that Seth was already there. "Hey! You found it. Did you let the others know?"

Opening the door in the empty hallway slowly, Arnie noticed Seth and Ayla sitting in an otherwise empty circle of chairs. Arnie nodded to them both, "Hi there, thanks for the invitation. This is long overdue in my opinion."
Arnie sat and twiddled his thumbs while he waited for the rest of the chairs to fill up.

The door opened and Alicia stepped in. She was very hung over but she snapped to her senses when the stench of vinegar hit her nose.
"Ugh! That smell is so strong! Is this seriously where we're meeting? What's wrong with meeting by the snack bar or a hotel room?"

Ayla laughed. "I know it's horrible, but it's the only place I could think of. Thanks for coming guys! Ox, Derrick, and Rosa were also invited and should show up aswell. Seth and I just thought it would be good to get a group of people together to stick together in the arena- call it whatever you like."

As people began to fill the small Maintenance Closet, Seth began to formally address them.
“Welcome everybody. You have all been invited here today because over the course of the Training Days we have observed that this lot is the most dependable group of tributes in the entire Hunger Games. Ayla and I believe that we can all work well together, but of course in order to do that we need to have some structure. We need to have a plan for the cornucopia if we are going to stay alive.”
“So first things first, we clearly have the largest alliance and our ranks include multiple skilled fighters. When the countdown hits zero I suggest we all group together and move for the best item in the cornucopia. We will move as a pack, covering each others’ backs, leaving no room for anyone to get isolated and picked off. Any objections?”

When Seth finished speaking, Arnie piped up,"I think that is an excellent plan. I've got points in wit, combat, agility and athletics, but lack any skill in survival. Unless we have some strong survival skills it might be useful to grab items that assist us there as well. I won't be of too much use as a provider, but I can be a vanguard of sorts."

"I agree that we should try to take the cornucopia as a group. Additionally, Arnie is right- survival is not our strongest area. I know Seth has a little knowledge, but that won't be enough for all of us. Any backpacks we can get will be helpful. So let's plan to move in to the cornucopia as a group, taking items along the way. What do you guys think?"

Ox finally showed up and squeezed his big body into the tiny little maintenance closet and sat down uncomfortably in a folding chair which creaked underneath him.
He held up a hand in greeting. "Hey guys."

"Hey Ox, we were just discussing workings together in the arena- and trying to take the cornucopia. What do you think?"

Rosa was standing just outside the door to the Janitor's closet. She had received a note inviting her to an alliance but she was unsure if they would be able to truly trust her without betraying the secret she was so desperately trying to hold on to.
As she sat outside the door debating on whether or not to go in she heard them mention something about not having a lot of survival skills. Maybe this was her in...
She slowly walked in the room and answered the question she had not been asked, "actually I have a log of training when it comes to survival skills and I am a quick thinking and strategist I just lack typical combat strength." She turned to look at Ayla, "If I were to run into the fray with all of you I'd be killed in a second and I am of much more use to you alive and unarmed than I am dead."
She sighed, "plus it seems like the sponsors have favored me a little so if I really need a weapon I think I'll be covered. I will stick with the alliance and help you all to the end but I think I'd be better off picking a direction to meet you all in than running in without combat abilities."
"Now," she said with a grin, "what about my peanut butter loving goofy brute of a district mate?"

Ox nodded at them all.
"I mean look at me" Ox said smiling. "I'm built for destruction. We by far have the hardest hitting team."
Ox was a little hesitant around Rosa. He didn't know her that well and she felt alien amongst the people he had been bonding with and training beside for the past few days. He stared at her with his large brown eyes unwavering.

A large well built tribute that Rosa didn't even know the name of was staring her down. "I mean look at me" Ox said smiling. "I'm built for destruction. We by far have the hardest hitting team." He continued the conversation as if she hadn't even spoken. Rosa decided she wasn't in any particular position to be angry about this seeing as she had only really decided to be social as of last night. Nevertheless it made her a bit uncomfortable as he maintained unwavering eye contact. Not because she was intimidated by his size but because she felt like an outsider coming into this room and now that feeling was amplified tenfold. Her smile faded as she backed subtlety out of the proverbial spotlight and up against a wall, "yes it seems so," she added meekly.

Derrick walked in, looking rather chipper after a night of hard drinking. Drinking with lumberjacks tended to give you a good tolerance.
"Hey, guys! Did I miss anything?" he smiled as he glanced around. Derrick saw Ox staring at Rosa and Rosa shrinking away. He went ahead and seated himself between the two. If anything he hoped it would make Rosa more comfortable.

"Hey Derrick!" Ayla said welcoming him into the room. "We were all just talking about how we want to try and take the cornucopia- it seems we've got the largest group. What do you think?"

“So there’s not a whole lot of time left,” Seth said. “We need a plan and we need it fast. What items are we going for and where are we meeting?”

"Do we want to all stick together as we collect items for everyone? I think it'd be good to get some weapons and certainly some backpacks. "

"I think there are a couple options but certainly at first we should stick together. It may be a good idea to have maybe three of us work together as a force to grab items away from the bigger group without too much risk. It's hard to know how it will be laid out before us though."

"Yes, we should all try to follow each other. Maybe we should all follow Seth? Seth be sure to lead us to some good items that we can share. Does anyone know of any other alliances - I think 1 and 2 are together. Maybe we should try to steer clear of them if there are four together-l. When we have the numbers- I think we should be able to take on some of the other tributes if they're competing for items we want."
"Does anyone know of any other alliances?"

"I'm down for whatever you guys want. There sure as hell are a lot of us. I think that means we can make it out decent in the cornucopia as long as we stick together and protect each other. Maybe have everyone work in pairs? One person grabs something while other protects them?"
Derrick suddenly became very self-conscious and grimaced. He wasn't going to think about it. Maybe he was still a bit drunk from last night.

((OOC: For the sake of the fact that we have a large alliance and very little time to put together a plan that unites all of us...perhaps Ayla or Seth could step forward quickly and give a definite game plan so that the game master does not get inundated with posts like "I follow what Seth does"))

"All right, listen up. Here's the plan and we're sticking to it. When you get in the arena, take a look around you. Communication is key, so call out the name of a nearby tribute and meet up with them. Protect each other and move toward the other pairs. Go for items TOGETHER, not alone. Make sure you're telling everyone your plan. I don't care if the enemy knows. In fact it's better if they do because no one wants to mess with an alliance this big, so hopefully they'll hear where you're headed and get out of the way."
"Then whatever happens, head WEST."
"We got this guys. Stay confident. Stay strong. And most importantly, STAY TOGETHER. The worst thing you can do is betray a big alliance this early in the game. Any trickery and we will all hunt you down. Understood?"
