They had a short reprieve in the hotel room to change before the feast. Mave knew she and Yun hadn't talked much prior to the parade, but she wondered if they should get to know each other at least a little bit. In the elevator she broke the silence. "I noticed you were really interested in how everything worked, like, technology wise? Do you know a lot about that stuff?"

Yun smiled at her. "I know more than I should. My family has worked in maintaining the vehicles for the Capital for like forever... But I've never been too good with the hard stuff, the things that need elbow grease. I'm better with dealing with the programming, the efficiency... It's pretty great. How about you?"

Mave was again surprised by Yun's unworried response. He seemed so levelheaded.
"Um my parents were more involved in baggage handling. Stuff like that. I mean, my dad was a mechanic, but he wasn't involved in the programming side of things. They were also a bit, um, dependent on morphling after awhile." Why was she talking so much? She changed the subject. "Anyway - good luck at the training sessions. You're probably going to showcase all your technical skills, yeah? If you need any help with Stealth or Combat stuff, just let me know. I mean, Im sure you're good at that stuff too. Just... ya know, I'm here if you need anything."
Mave doubted Yun would need anything from her. Four years her junior, he seemed more confident than she felt since this whole thing had started. "Let me know how your training session goes!" She waved as she stepped off the elevator and headed to her room.
