Derrick entered the hotel room and held his breath. It was unlike anything he had ever seen. It seemed like everything in the room was built for extravagance more than functionality. He let out his breath after taking it in for a few moments and sat on a couch, finding it to be rather comfortable. he put his feet up and leaned his back, thinking about what to do for the parade. He glanced at the clock. I hope my district partner comes in soon, Derrick thought to himself. His eyes steadily grew heavier at the minutes ticked by.

Olive walked into the room quietly hoping to sneak pass her district partner, she saw the way he had looked at her brother Daniel during the reaping and even thought the train journey had been long she still couldn't make up her mind about her mixed feelings towards this person. Hopefully she would get a good mentor, someone who understood her and actually wasn't a dumb head like most people she'd met so far...

Derrick heard the faint click of a door opening and closing. He opened his eyes and looked around.
"Olive!" he jumped up. "Where have you been? I've been worried." He shifted awkwardly from foot to foot, "So. Here we are, huh?"

Oh, yeah, hi...I've been sort of sticking to myself lately, don't see the point in making friends with people you're going to kill or that'll kill you. I don't trust them that's all...
How was the party last night?

Derrick rubbed the back of his neck. "I suppose if that's the way you want to do things. I was kind of hoping you would join the group I'm in." He looked down at the floor, "I was just... you know... good friends with your brother and I didn't want to let him down. Try to protect you and everything."
He brightened up at the mention of the party. He grinned, "It was a blast! Too bad you missed it."

"Yeah... actually I wanted to talk to you about that thing, I saw the way you looked at my brother and to begin with I didn't really like it, not at all to be honest but I kinda figured that if I can't win at least you could I knew you would take care of him and my family and at least the district would get some aides.
I was actually looking to talk to you about maybe sticking together, I'd rather meet you in a final battle than any other tribute she said with a worried face afraid of rejection..."
Seems like quite the party you guys had, I had dinner with Alicia and she seemed to have had a blast too

Derrick grimaced. He didn't think she saw him look at Daniel. He was a little hurt, but he knew he would face this kind of reaction at times. At least she acknowledged it. Not like his family who thought if they ignored it, it would go away. There were worse things, though.
Derrick saw her worried look. He's seen that look on so many faces in the past few days. "I don't mind if you tag along. I'm not sure of the plans quite yet, but if anything I'm not going to attack you. Stick close to me if you can. If we're separated, be careful out there."

She saw the face he made wheb she mentioned her brother and knee she had been right about the look, in r jat moment Olive decided to trust him completely.
"Yeah, that'd be humm.. great.. who else is with you by the way? I'm not very trusting but I'd really like to stick together with you"

Okey, I think I know of all of them, do you have a plan for when it all begins?
With ox and you there's a lot of muscle, I'd suggest we ( if it's okey that I say we and but in om your plans) take the cornucopia to begin with and then decide from there?
