The next room is blanketed in a tangled mess of leafy vines. Though it seems a relatively harmless threat, you know the Game Makers must have engineered these plants to have some lethal effects. Getting through without touching the poison ivy will take some careful acrobatics, but knowing which plants are safe or deadly would certainly make things easier. | Action | Requirement | Result | | Move through the Ivy | Agility score 7

Ayla looked forward at a room filled with poisoned ivy. How the hell was she supposed to get through that? She could try to discover a safer path, but she was not well versed in this particular plant. On the other hand, she could try to maneuver her way through the ivy. This seemed nearly impossible, but she could not for the life of her figure out a safer path.

As Ayla made it through the Ivy, she punched the sky. Success! She awaited nervously to see if the rest of her friends would make it through safely.

Ox Stared into the Ivy maze and decided in order to help his team mates he should at least try to find a new safer path before attempting to get through the poison maze.

Arnie thought about his options. It seemed like either of his choices were going to be equally difficult, he may as well try to see if there were any easier options available to him first.

Rosa crested the next level of the tower to see Ayla nimbly dart through what appeared to be a maze of genetically modified poison ivy. Rosa KNEW poison ivy and it usually didn't have purple barbs all over the leaves but the shape and coloring was per normal.
Arnie and Ox seemed to be studying the maze. Perhaps they weren't the most agile people like Ayla but Rosa knew Poison Ivy and years of cutting through forests to get to the next ranch over would probably help her here.
Rosa intently studied the maze and realized that some of the ivy didn't have the barbs like the rest of the plants. They might still get itchy but at least they wouldn't be poisoned...or worse.
Rosa scanned the hedges for a safer way through...

"Yep," Rosa nodded as she thought to herself, "There was the path they should take." She turned around to point it out to her fellow allies as she disappeared into the maze herself beckoning them to follow.

Ox saw Rosa point to a safer path through the maze, she succeeded where he had failed. He would take advantage of the new path.

Rosa stumbled her way through the maze. Even with the path she had discovered she had definitely made some mistakes along the way. SHe had almost caught herself on one of the barbs but by shifting her wait and coming away with a bit of a rash she had avoided any serious damage. As Rosa popped out onto the other side she looked back to see if the other tributes had seen her wobbly trek through the maze. She scratched at a red blotch on her left leg and tried to make out whether the other tributes had had as good of luck making it through themselves.

Arnie watched as Rosa pointed out a safe path through the maze and made the way through it herself. Jorn followed shortly thereafter, nimbly darting through just as Rosa had shown them. Stepping up to the maze Arnie tried to navigate the new safe path, thankful that he had worked with an Agility trainer when he had the chance.

Arnie barely pulled it off, but he made it. While he had avoided the the majority of the sketchy bits he still had a few close calls. There is no telling what sort of nefarious additions had been made to the plants genetic code.
"Thanks Rosa, you're a lifesaver! I tried to find the way but it was a lost cause." Arnie breathed a sigh of relief as he waited on the other side for his other friends to make the crossing.

"Great, more agility-based obstacles," Seth mumbled to himself. Rosa had found a much easier way through the maze, which Seth was extremely grateful for, but the safe path still required some leaps and bounds.

The other tributes were all making it look easy, and now that the five of them had clearly stomped a path through the safe plants it was even easier to see where to go. This should be a piece of cake.

As she entered the maze the leafy vines began to grow back into place, hiding the trail the other tributes had taken.
“Shit, this is harder than I thought.”
Alicia tried to remember the safe path the others took.

She could feel tiny barbs stinging her ankles and realized she had gotten off course. She looked to her left and saw a patch of star-shaped leaves that Rosa had pointed out as a landmark. It wasn’t too far, but she’d have to jump over the poison ivy to get back to the safe path.

Alicia’s ankle became tangled in a barbed vine and she landed face first in a thicket of poisonous greenery. She immediately felt the poison being injected into her body. In a panic, she stood up and sprinted through the rest of the ivy, disregarding the safe path. She made it to the other side and collapsed on the stone, her skin bleeding and swollen.
“Somebody… help,” she whimpered.

Derrick looked uncertainly at the plants. He had seen these all around the forest back at his district. They were pretty bad to run into, but here in the arena could mean it's much worse. He took a deep breath.

Derrick looked over at Alicia in alarm.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on. Let's find some water or something to rinse you off. Maybe we can get the sponsors to give you a morphling shot or something." He helped Alicia over to where the others made camp.
