Perhaps they weren't as alone as he thought. The puff of smoke cleared and Jaden readied his bow, but no one came.
"I'm assuming that was Age again. I bet after she killed Dolan she tried to hide and come back here to hunt. Maybe she couldn't find a good hiding place so she used that smoke bomb to avoid detection. Anyway, I bet she's gone back to the other island."
"But look at our gifts today. With my night vision goggles and your sword, Kimber, I think the sponsors are telling us to go out and start looking for the the other tributes. We're down to three but I think we still have a number advantage. Here's the strategy I propose: We head east as silently as we can and search the area for any hidden tributes. If I can get a sneak attack in, I can attack three times before they get to me. If somehow I miss or they are still alive, you two take on any charging tributes with your melee weapons because I can't defend myself."
