"It looks like Talia escaped to the north. Now that we're both at full health I bet we can catch her if we follow her tracks. She doesn't seem to have any weapons or any intention of fighting back, so let's keep pursuing her before she finds something to fight back with. Maybe we can even sneak up on her and get an attack in before she can escape again. I'm really stealthy so she'll never see me coming!"

Here's my plan for today:

1. Stealth
2. Travel (north)
3. Hunt

-sneak attack Talia if she is still there
-if she escapes, replace Hunt action with Follow (Talia)

"Sounds good," Fenlen said as they filled up on the fruits of their hunting. He was frustrated that Talia had gotten away - he would have preferred taking her out while it was just the three of them in the immediate area. He was, however, happy with how the two of them were faring so far. Good hunting results, water, full health again. Age was right. They should just strike while they're not battling any other ills or tributes. "That's true - you are very stealthy. And if you can overcome her without detection, I can help in the fighting." For a moment, he thought of how ruthless they sounded, talking about another person's life, but he quickly remembered why they had to be this way. "Let's go with that plan and hope the day is as good as the first in terms of hunting."

Plan:
1. Stealth
2. Travel North
3. Hunt

- Attack Talia with brass knuckles
- Flee if Age or I are down three health points
- If Talia escapes, follow her with Age

Age jumped at the sound of the cannon, signalling Talia's death. Her heart was pounding heavily. She couldn't believe she was just a moment ago chasing a girl her age with a knife, fully intending to kill her... What a relief that she didn't have to go through with it. That the water took Talia before she could. A moment later she snapped out of her line of thought. "Fenlen!"

Age ran back to the pit where Fenlen fell. He was clearly hurt and the pit was deep. There was no good way out of a pit like that. It could take all day to escape it.

"Don't worry, Fenlen. I won't abandon you here! I don't know if I can help you escape it, but in case you're down there for a while, I'll find you some food and water. And I'll be hiding nearby to sneak attack anybody that might find you here. Stay strong!"

It was dim in the pitfall trap - dirty, too. Fenlen was covered in dirt and scratches and aching all over from the tumble. He focused on breathing, as the wind was knocked out of him in the disorienting fall. Staring up at the sky, the minutes stretched long. He felt for sure age was gone for good. She's either fighting talia, dying from the fight out of my sight, or decided to cut her losses and run for it.
Suddenly, she appeared and vowed to help him. Relief washed over him, quickly followed by guilt. He nearly told her to go on alone and leave him, but he remembered how much of an asset they were to each other. Her stealth was invaluable, and he was necessary to her in terms of weaponry skills and the supplies in the backpack he snagged at the cornucopia. With his good arm hurt the way it was, he couldn't toss it up to her at this point.

"Ok. Thank you" he managed, his voice wavering from his uneven breath. "I'm going to rest for the night and attempt escape in the morning." Until then, stay nearby and use your stealth skill. I don't want to act like a target and get you in trouble inadvertently."

By the end of the day, Fenlen was despondent. He hadt made it out of the trap despite several attempts to find handholds and climb out. He wasn't strong enough anymore and there was no food left on the island.

"Age - you may have to leave me here when the island sinks or you run out of food. I can keep trying to escape and maybe we can find each other in the arena again. Either way, I don't want you to die because I got myself stuck in a hole. I'm going to spend the next day trying to escape again and resting to try to build up strength."
