NOTE TO MILLIE

Wren scribbled down a note, in case he was able to catch Millie sometime via communicator hack or any other means. He wrote furiously,

Millie Cartwright Please think about the Accord's creed, 'no one dies.' We have three peacekeepers that have been fighting for the Accord, in what we have called the Phoenix Accord. We ask that you help us issue a pardon from execution for these three individuals, known as PEACEBRINGERS. They have refused to hack against us, helped us take down peacekeepers, and taken actions to keep us alive and strong. Please look into your heart and find a forgiveness for WHAT they are and instead consider WHO they are and WHAT they have done for us. Their names are Cal Mensen, Valeria DeMasque, and Sydney Gardiner. Please, we demand a pardon.


Here is our contract for the Phoenix Accord, if it helps you make your decision:

"We the undersigned agree to the following terms and define ourselves as members of the “Accord.” ‘Accord’ is defined specifically as the Phoenix Accord of the Quarter Quell Hunger Games and Rebel War of Panem, risen from the ashes of the Primrose Accord from the Second Annual Hunger Games and initiated by Millie Cartwright, victor of the second Hunger Games.



Our terms are simple:

We work with a team focus, amongst known allies regardless of technical title,

We agree to split up duties and hardships and communicate with each other to coordinate when possible,

We acknowledge the previous Primrose Accord and original Phoenix Accord creed of “no one dies” as noble, yet also acknowledge it is not a realistic goal and therefore no longer live by the creed,

We accept the new rule of only killing Peacekeepers that fight for the Peacekeeper side –confirmed by spying, hacking, or verbal confirmation,

We accept that some individuals with Peacekeeper status claim to fight for the Rebel army as Peacebringers and we welcome anyone that has PROVEN their heart’s allegiance to the Rebels and the Accord into our list of Accord allies,

We agree these individuals must prove themselves as Peacebringers by refusing to hack for that side, attacking known peacekeeper enemies in favor of the Accord’s success, NOT attacking known rebels and Accord members, and performing other deeds deemed supportive of the Accord’s success in the Rebel War,

We agree to make our best attempt at a bargain for a pardon from execution for any surviving and proven Peacebringers at the end of the war,

We agree our objective is to ultimately win the Rebel War and allow our fellow rebels from the districts into the Capitol to regain independence and bring peace to Panem by any means necessary.

Thomas walks into a room and next to the note to Millie sees the original decree from the group called the Phoenix Accord. He read through the terms and thought "I have abided by all of these pillars.... and I've proven myself as a known ally many times."

No one had invited him to be a part of the group, but he feels like after yesterday he ought to be included. He looks both ways and adds his signature at the bottom of the document.

Wren watched and smiled as Thomas signed the contract.

"Thank you for joining us. I'm sorry I couldn't officially welcome you, but I figured it was sorta assumed. You've been really helpful to all of the Accord members. We're happy to have you. And I'd given Holly the actual document when we split, in case I died, so I couldn't show it to you yet. But now that she's here, I was able to copy it over. Eloise should be on there, too, actually."

Wren forged Eloise's name at the bottom.

Wren frowned. What if Millie never saw this pardon note? Could they use the communicator from the hovercraft they'd taken down to contact her? Would that put them in even MORE danger? What if Vester came instead? Would Vester send more monsters their way? What would the rebels do when they entered the Capitol, once security was down?



OOC: Does anyone have ideas on how to possibly signal for help using CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE and not using what's in the intertwined fates thread? We were set on winning today, right? So, we'd be having to consider the rebels coming in and how to convey we're with them, right?

We've already openly discussed running away, using the communicator from the hovercraft, writing a note, Val and Holly discussed the possibility of being broadcast already... I think one of these could work, while staying in character with our current train of thought...

Thomas put his hand on Wren's shoulder "Thanks man, it means a lot. It's nice to be a part of something for once. I'm used to flying solo, but that gets lonely after awhile"

Thomas watched as Wren's smile faded to a frown. "What makes you so sure that Millie won't want to pardon the peacebringers? She seems like she's a reasonable person. I bet that Ayla would support them, you know that Seth was a peace keeper, right? I imagine if there had been a rebellion he would have been a peacebringer too."

Wren pinned the note to the flag, and dragged the flag out to the crashed hovercraft. I hope Millie Cartwright can see this from wherever she's at...or that the rebels know what it means...

Wren ran back into the hospital, gripping his baton tightly just in case danger was coming.
