Wren sprinted up the watchtower stairs to find Cal. He welcomed him with a big hug, remembering their reunion from day two. He genuinely smiled for the first time in a few days. "Holy shit I"ve never been so happy to see you! Yesterday was complete shit..." Wren frowned again as he recalled the events that took place the day before. He heard more voices and footsteps. More than he expected to hear. Shit. "Lartius, if you're around, you can have a hug, too, man!" Wren planted a quick kiss on Cal. "You know the drill. Updates first. I helped kill Dante, and Janet & Demetri killed each other. It sucked. No one communicated well, there were wasted actions despite my efforts to help organize. I'm kinda upset with some people. All Wallace did was look for food. Only Janet hacked and she failed.
At the market, we had the original market party plus Dante, Janet, Nelson, Gwen, and Val. Peacekeeper shot Gwen so they demanded to take her to the hospital...not sure why Val l& Holly HAD to come with. I begged everyone to split up & suggested they do armory/depot for med kit instead but they were really shady about going this way..." Wren frowned even more.
"Val pulled out some friend-contract from loading docks and was going on about how Dante wouldn't be crossed off even if he did betray them. But Gwen punched him so...? Then they were all sad about him dying after TELLING the rest of us he had to die. So I'm really worried they're here to kill me off for whatever reason. They were REALLY weird and pushy about going this way even though I'd already said I was too. Cal, please be hesitant. I know you like Gwen & Val, but my trust in them is declining..."
"Cal, Lartius: Who was with you yesterday? What happened? Who's armed, who's injured, who hacked?"
Wren turned towards the girls from the market. He gave them a much-deserved look of 'I told you so.' "I'd like to apologize for my behavior last night. I was just so worried that something like THIS would happen again." Wren jerked his head at the growing crowd.
"And to be completely honest with you all...when you pulled out that friend contract thing, I felt super uncomfortable and got weird vibes. It seemed like you were putting the loading docks group before the accord, which would leave me out. I genuinely care about you all and want to help, if you'll let me. It's not that I don't trust you, but you have to understand how that would look & sound to someone like me...
Gwen, I was upset you didn't tell me about punching Dante. I could have saved an arrow & used it on that peacekeeper that attacked you. Val, I really wished you would have attacked that peacekeeper. If you really love Gwen, you probably should have. I know, it's too late now. Cal attacked ours first and he took the hits instead of me since he attacked first...but we got him finished in one day. They're enemies, too. Even more so than tribute-peacekeepers, probably.
Holly...I really have no concerns with you. Thank you for communicating with everyone yesterday. I'm sorry about Demetri, and about Dante. But you guys did tell me to kill him, so I just thought I was doing the right thing...
Now can we work together today, please? Cal & Lartius are on our side as well."

Cal embraced Wren, his face split with a full grin. They both made it back safe and sound. "I'm glad you could make it, and I'm sorry to hear about yesterday. Maybe today will be better." Cal dips his voice into a whisper.
"The Hospital was me, Eloise, Thomas, Julian and I think another girl, Gillian. I had never met her. Eloise delivered the baby, hacked the point for the rebels, then took off for the supply depot to find medical supplies for the hospital staff. She told me to tell you that your little red headed sister has gone rogue. Thomas stayed behind to hold down the fort, I came here to report our activity."
He gave Wren a quick peck on the mouth, his eyes warm and comforting.
"It's going to be okay. Today we build trust, we make the Accord whole. Let's talk, try not to do anything reckless." He looks down the stairs to the approaching party, his eyes begin to well up a little. Cal runs down the stairs to meet them, his hopes realized. "Wren, Val, Gwen... I had hoped to see you all again. Kept my promise." Fuck it.He walked up to Gwen and threw his arms around her, his head resting on her shoulder.

Wren scowled at Gwen and Cal's greeting. I thought...? Whatever. Maybe it's not what I think it is. I'm just feeling paranoid today.
Wren attempted to take some deep breaths and calm himself. I can't start today being paranoid. I need to calm the fuck down.He looked around at the group. He had company from the market, Cal was there as promised, looks like Lartius and Sydney had stuck around, and Deo was there. Wren remembered Deo being helpful during training, but hadn't interacted with him much. Then he saw...Minerva? He'd never really talked to her before... "Cal, are you sure Minerva wasn't at the hospital? Where did she come from?? How did she get here? Did Vester send her?"
OOC: Also, a note to anyone wanting to whisper to Lartius, his username is lartiusselkirk unlike our regular first name ones

Holly was glad to see Cal. Another Val, not bad. I'll have to trust you too, everything is trust now..."I'm glad you're alright. Clearly, Wren is glad enough for us all... but still. It's nice to see friendly faces again." Holly could see Wren was upset. Even if we aren't in an Arena there are still sides to be taken. It's no different than an alliance in the Games. People are going to die if they're on the wrong side of things. You better come to terms with that.Holly settled in to the room, finding a seat at an empty control panel. "Wren, I don't fault you for attacking Dante. I came to terms with his role on the second day out. Demetri and I spoke with him and he very clearly asserted himself as a Peacekeeper. He didn't move against us then, but when we returned only to have Janet try to kill Demetri and then run to the Market... he followed. We had no way of knowing if he was planning this with her. He admitted he was a Peacekeeper to us and said he couldn't go with us, and whoever came out on top would punish the other side. We parted ways. I took that to mean he was making a choice and when he ran with Janet... I had to let you know that he was not an ally and posed a threat. I wish you all could have had the closure Demetri and I did, but he would have worked against us. He was a brilliant man, and he was a threat. We took him out when we had the chance and you were right to help, Wren. I'm heartbroken I lost both Demetri and Dante, but we lost Dante before this began."
Holly turned to Cal, his eyes still glistening from the reunion with Wren. Everyone has someone. Demetri...
"I'm glad to see you, Cal. Thomas was a rebel, but I know nothing about Julian or Sydney. What can you tell me?"

Cal came to out of his moment, realizing the potential scene he was creating. Giving Gwen a small smile, he took a step back from her, turning to the rest of the newcomers. "Val, glad to see you're still kicking and covering each other's backs. A few days ago I made a Peacebringer creed, I can recite it later if you'd like." He faced Holly, extending a hand. "I don't believe we've met, but I've heard nothing but good things from you Holly. Glad to finally meet you." Cal turns around to face Wren, concern spreading as he sees the lumberjack's discomfort. He walks over to him, putting an arm across his shoulders, pulling him in tight. "I'm sorry, but know that I'm not going anywhere." He follows the group into the control room, leading to two of them over to their old spiny chairs that remained where they had let them. Cal looked across the group, trying to organize his thoughts.
"Thomas mentioned traveling with you and Demetri around the Armory or Supply Depot. He wants to see you again and admitted to having been attacked by Sharlot and Harlie. He also says that Sharlot blames me for her full turn to the Peacekeepers, due to me stealing her token. Val and Gwen can attest that she attempted to hack the Watchtower Day 1 before I stole her token. It's not like I can return it to her now, you can find what's left of it in the face of the peacekeeper outside."
Cal paused, wondering if he went into too much detail there. He shrugged, may as well be thorough.
"We don't have any confirmed information on either Julian or Sydney. My impression of Julian is that he's a tyke bomb, a very young peacekeeper. He's claimed the Hospital was under Peacekeeper control for days and was glad Eloise showed up because he wasn't sure how to use the computers. To me, he's playing up his age and it didn't help he snagged a gun yesterday. I let Thomas know my opinion of all this and he decided to stay at the Hospital to keep it safe."
He takes a deep breath, considering how best to explain Sydney.
"Sydney was a wreck when she came here, claiming to be coming to terms with her likely death. She didn't appreciate Wren's attempt to reach to her, so I stepped in. I thought we had a lot in common, and tried appealing to common experiences. I told her what I was and that I was most likely going to die too. She asked what to do, I described what it took to be a Peacebringer. She seemed to accept my words, stuck around the Watchtower to help guard it with Lartius, who we know is a rebel having successfully hacking and keeping the tower under our control."
He looks between Val and Holly.
"When I got here, she told me Deo and Minerva overwhelmed the two of them, their combined hacking overcoming anything Lartius could defend against. Most likely being a Peacekeeper, and remembering my words, she didn't hack because it wouldn't help keep it secure. I realize that none of us here can verify her claims, with the exception of Lartius. We'll need his input to confirm his claim. I realize the risk here, Sydney is a willing but unproven Peacebringer. We need to approach this with caution, but we could have an ally on our hands."
Cal turns around to Wren, thinking over his words.
"No, Minvera was not at the Market. I have no idea how she came here, especially with your description of the Market from Day 5. At least we can guess that Deo came from the Market when we all traveled about Day 5."

"Nice to meet you too... finally. Wren speaks very highly of you. That's enough for me for now." "I for one appreciate the thorough update, too much has been lost in staggered communications and updates. Cal, you were told the truth by Thomsa, I didn't believe Sharlot when she told us her side of the story and neither did Demetri. It didn't make sense. She told us Gwen had felt rejected by her and turned in a fit of rage and rejection." Holly stifled a chuckle again at the ridiculous story. "Of all people to feel rejected? She said you turned on the Accord as well... she said a lot of things. None of them added up but I pretended to believe her so she may think I'm not on your side if we run into her again."
Holly looked around at the beleaguered group of tributes. They're probably sick of death, but there is going to be more before this is over.
"I think we need to start taking down Peacekeepers who aren't on our side. They're going to start getting more aggressive, they're not doing well and their only option, outnumbered as they are will be to attack us. They're cornered. I think in every location we need to wipe one out if possible."
Holly considered the group she'd seen in the tower so far. Deo.
"My district mate, Deo, he knows I'm against the Capitol. We spoke about it before we left the training facility. From what you're saying he's working actively against the Accord. He may see me as a target and with backup beside him, considering he's already attacked people before... I think he should be dealt with. I will need food soon, but I'm more concerned about an impending assault than getting a bite at the moment."

Wren leaned into Cal's half-embrace and settled into his spinny chair he'd grown so comfortable in from his previous days in the watchtower. He glanced at the control desk, recalling his first day in the tower. Those days are long gone. But I'll always remember them.Wren snapped himself back into shape. Maybe it was because Cal was here to stable him. Maybe it was the bond he'd built in the market over such unfortunate events. Either way, he'd let everyone down if he lost his shit now. We've come too far...
"No, Deo came from hospital. He was there day four. So he must have hopped over here day 5. Minerva wasn't at hospital OR market day 4. So she's here because Vester must have liked it, probably threw her here yesterday to shake things up. Fuck that guy. Lartius Selkirk Do you still have that baton? We might need to pass it around between everyone (preferably in whispers!) if we want to take anyone out today...or are we going pacifist again for a bit? What's our goal here? Take down at least Deo?" He turned to Val. "Did you manage to snag that peacekeeper's gun? Is anyone else here armed?"

Gwen sunk into the hug from Cal. He reminded her of the easier times back at the training center. She said as he pulled away, "Scowly face Wren over there told us about you two," she smiled. "I'm happy for you guys. Looks like another party is hopping here. We won't stay long," She limped over to a chair to sit down. Gwen frowned at Wren, "I thought I told you I got a hit on Dante back there, or did you not hear that whisper? As for the Accord and our contract, well, it helps cement our relationship to each other that's for sure, but given recent events with the betrayals... perhaps we need to create something new?"

Cal had snickered at Gwen pointing out Wren's admission of their relationship to her.
"You and half of Panem it seems. Thank you though... I'm happy we're all on in the same side here. I might just be able to keep all my promises now."
He noted her limp, concern edged into his focus.
"Are you okay?"

Wren leaned back and propped his feet up on the control desk -his typical posture while in the tower. He laughed at Gwen. "Alright alright. We're good. Sorry I lost my cool." Wren thought back to the market..."Oh shit, I did hear that and just miscounted when I decided to use my last action. Fuck. I could have saved my energy pill and an arrow. Sorry, guys. Too much going on. And I knew we had to be CERTAIN about Dante's condition..." Wren shook his head.
"So, Cal's got one shot, Val might have a gun, and Lartius has a baton. Otherwise, we can spend our day throwing punches at Deo or Minerva. At least there's not another peacekeeper patrolling here."
He considered the other thing Gwen said. "Well...yeah. We probably should. The accord's creed of 'no one dies' is obviously blown here, too. I'll write something in a few and you can all look it over?" Wren looked around. He knew he had a way of words, with all his speeches he'd given. "If that's alright? I mean, anyone else is welcome to." OOC: If I write one, I'll probably post it around 11/11:15

Holly laughed. "You're a little jealous kid, aren't you?" "No one dies. Seems a bit naive considering the circumstances isn't it? It's not as though I'm full of blood lust and homicidal tendencies. But we need to be realistic. The Accord can win this war. But to do so means the other side has to die by definition. It is a war, a conflict. To think this could be achieved peacefully was a pipe dream. No one else has to die... on our side. But we have to be on the offensive to ensure that."
Holly was unsure of Sydney and had been keeping an eye on her from across the room. Lowering her voice she continued.
"If we want a read on Sydney without wasting any actions that could be used hacking or hurting, I say we ask Sydney to prove herself by attacking Deo, a known Peacekeeper."

Cal nodded at both Wren and Holly's words. It's good to be around good people. "I agree with Holly, we need to eliminate known peacekeepers, specifically those we know have worked against the Rebel cause. Deo is the logical target, especially with his possible collaboration with Sharlot. We should spy on our unknown tributes around us, that way we have targets for the days ahead. As for our ammo count... Wren is correct. I have one handgun bullet left, was looking to save it for the next time I meet Sharlot. But we can decide how best to use it together. Thomas also mentioned that he was armed and Eloise is on a trip to the supply depot with a fully loaded sub-machine gun on hand. With luck she'll return with a full clip to the Hospital Day 7. She also said she'd head to the Watchtower Day 8 if I didn't meet her there tomorrow."
His expression becomes focused again, mentally preparing himself for what's coming ahead.
"I'd really like to get my hands on that Baton. I regret not having taken it the first day we were here, it was left abandoned. It also never runs out of ammo, so it can surpass any gun's value if we just use it enough. And from the sound of things, we've got plenty of combat ahead of us."
He listened to Wren and Gwen's talk of a new agreement or organization. He shook his head and smiled.
"I don't know if I was officially brought into this group, or the Accord for that matter. Too ambiguous, and that was my own doing. Whatever you all come up with, I'll sign it if you'll have me. Either way, I intend to earn this group's trust with my actions more so than my words."

He smiles and grabs Wren's shoulder, careful not to disrupt his balance. "That's my fault, he's in love with a two-timing, bi-sexual rogue peacekeeper. You need strong bonds to hold that sort of situation together, and he's got a good hand." Cal looks to Holly, his eyes filled with an understanding acceptance.
"An excellent idea. From what we've complied, Sydney has only told me the truth. I'd like to afford her that chance to prove herself, as me and Val have done this past week. I'll ask her to attack Deo to help us, as long as everyone else is good with this."

Wren laughed at the conversation around him. "Yeah...that's my fault. I've made some poor decisions in my life." He smirked at Cal. "But I don't regret them. Even if you're an ass sometimes." Wren searched for a pen and paper in the drawers of the control desk. He felt like doing some writing...it calmed his mind. His pen flew as he furiously scribbled on the paper, much like when he wrote his book in the alcove before escaping into the Capitol. We the undersigned agree to the following terms and define ourselves as members of the “Accord.” ‘Accord’ is defined specifically as the Phoenix Accord of the Quarter Quell Hunger Games and Rebel War of Panem, risen from the ashes of the Primrose Accord from the Second Annual Hunger Games and initiated by Millie Cartwright, victor of the second Hunger Games.
Our terms are simple:
We work with a team focus, amongst known allies regardless of technical title,
We agree to split up duties and hardships and communicate with each other to coordinate when possible,
We acknowledge the previous Primrose Accord and original Phoenix Accord creed of “no one dies” as noble, yet also acknowledge it is not a realistic goal and therefore no longer live by the creed,
We accept the new rule of only killing Peacekeepers that fight for the Peacekeeper side –confirmed by spying, hacking, or verbal confirmation,
We accept that some individuals with Peacekeeper status claim to fight for the Rebel army as Peacebringers and we welcome anyone that has PROVEN their heart’s allegiance to the Rebels and the Accord into our list of Accord allies,
We agree these individuals must prove themselves as Peacebringers by refusing to hack for that side, attacking known peacekeeper enemies in favor of the Accord’s success, NOT attacking known rebels and Accord members, and performing other deeds deemed supportive of the Accord’s success in the Rebel War,
We agree to make our best attempt at a bargain for a pardon from execution for any surviving and proven Peacebringers at the end of the war,
We agree our objective is to ultimately win the Rebel War and allow our fellow rebels from the districts into the Capitol to regain independence and bring peace to Panem by any means necessary.
Signed,
Wren Hartwood, District Seven , founder and namesake of the Phoenix Accord

Cal grins, but looks back to Wren, giving his best doe eyed gaze impression he can. Not quite as good as Wren could muster, but at the very least it looks amusing. Reading over the created document, he slips back into a small smile. He rests his finger on top of the second to last statement on the document, concerning a pardon.
"I have my doubts of that one actually succeeding... but I appreciate your thoughts and consideration. Thank you."
He waits for Wren's pen to become free before signing it twice. They read:
Cal Mensen, District 12
Ghost, in good company
"All in. Nice job Wren."

Holly stood and walked over to Wren, reading over his shoulder. "A love letter? Bless." Holly chuckled and gave Wren and Call a playful wink. Taking the paper from Cal as he finished Holly signed her name with all the hope she could muster.
-Holly Edison
She gave the note to Valeria and Gwen, hopefully they approved.
"Cal, since you have more of a rapport with Sydney I think it's best if you deliver our request for her to attack Deo. Why don't you bring her over and we can talk to her. We also need to reestablish control of this Watchtower. I can hack if need be, but I'm not the best at it. Wren? Gwendolyn?" Turning now to just the girls, Holly whispered. "I spied on Wren. I'll know more for sure in the morning. He's the only one that I don't have concrete information on. I'd like to believe him outright but I've only heard him say he's a rebel, and heard people support him. I needed to know. I think your efforts are better spent attacking Deo." (gwen/val)

Wren laughed as Holly read over his shoulder. "Hey! These sweet nothings aren't meant for your eyes! The graphic nature of this document might require an adult to supervise, " Wren teased, realizing Holly was in fact older than himself. "Now I have a random craving for ice cream...weird. Does anyone's food inventory include ice cream? Maybe I have some stashed away that I forgot about..." Wren jammed his hand into his boots, feeling around for any signs of ice cream. "I just took a quick trip to the console and managed about a 10. I can do more if I need to. I'd feel better over-estimating and being absolutely safe from turrets. I'm maxed out on everything, so just let me know where to pick up the slack. Does anyone else here, aside from Cal & Val, have a knack or two for hacking?"

Sydney walked over to the group with a slight smile. "Heard this is where the party's at and I'm all about being fashionably late, so...works out." It was a little nervewracking just due to the sheer number of them all that were there and she couldn't see Nelson among them, who would be the only other person she knew. "Ice cream? I'd even be thrilled with just peanut butter. Like, right off the spoon. God, will I miss peanut butter."
"Hi Wren. Busy day yesterday, I see." There were so many people everywhere and Sydney didn't even know who to begin with. "I'm Sydney. People call me Syd or if you're holding a weapon you can call me whatever you want."

Holly smiled at Sydney joining their little group. I like a sense of humor. But, that's not gonna save us."Welcome to the party, Syd. Cal vouched for you, as much as he can under the circumstances... So I'll get to the point. Peacebringers tend to need to prove themselves a bit more than most, which I'm sure you can understand. We know Deo is a Peacekeeper and we know he's attacked our allies before. We want him taken out. He knows I'm a rebel and likely to fight the Capital, Career or not so I may be a target now that he thinks he has some backup."
Holly glanced at Cal, and back to Syd. I hope you're right to trust her.
"Attack Deo. Use your weapons, and cut him down. Do that, and you'll be trustworthy in my book. I think all of us would agree."

Cal snickered at her last joke, at least it broke the ice for him. "Damn it, Wren. Now I'm thinking about ice cream. It sounds familiar anyways, like I've already brought it up before. Probably not important." OOC: Edited, posted without seeing Holly's. Cal nods his head at Holly's words, right to the point. He reveals his pistol holster and raises his hand.
"I'd like to help too. This is a task not suited for one individual, regardless of skill or qualification. I can put a bullet in Dio and then throw in a swing. I'd also like to try my luck at that baton, but if you'd rather I go all out on Dio, someone else can pick up that task."

Holly settled back down in her chair after speaking. "Sorry, I'm Holly. I guess introductions are important. Nice to meet you, Syd."
The mention of ice cream perked her up.
"Hey! No more talk of ice cream. It's so unfair!" Holly wailed. "Honestly, at this point I'd be happy just to have a damn potato."

Wren gave up on searching for ice cream and sighed. "You're right. Peanut butter sounds better. Actually, I could go for a potato too. But I'd rather have a maple scone. Those kick ass." He felt a slight smile creeping on his lips as introductions took place. He just wished there were a few more people speaking up, but they had all day. Maybe people will be more vocal later. "Hey, Syd. Yeah...yesterday was kinda crazy. Nelson asked us to tell you hi and check in on you. He seems to really care about you, so you two must have made a good connection during training..." Here's our terms to being a peacebringer: These individuals must prove themselves as Peacebringers by refusing to hack for that side, attacking known peacekeeper enemies in favor of the Accord’s success, NOT attacking known rebels and Accord members, and performing other deeds deemed supportive of the Accord’s success in the Rebel War
So...what Holly's asking of you would fall under "attacking known peacekeeper enemies." I agree, that would certainly earn you a spot in the Accord if you sincerely want in.
We also ask that you whisper to us if you've made any progress on said goal, as communication is another thing we're big on. We want Deo out of the picture, so we have to be sure. Does anyone know if he's in prime shape? Maybe Lartius or Syd would know if he's been attacked yet? That might have been mentioned so I'll think back after this and try to remember hearing anything" ooc: Damn, too many people again. left out Val, sorry. figured it's not super important to her at this moment?

As Cal awaited input from others in the gathered party, he realized the weight of the decision upon Sydney's shoulders. Everyone gets a choice. He stood next to Sydney, hoping to catch her eyes, wishing to add something.
"Like I said two nights ago, its important for everyone to be able to choose their destiny for themselves. I stand by the words I created then, the Peacebringer's oath. This is ultimately your decision, and I will respect it. My devotion is my own and I don't expect you to follow my path. But if you choose to accept, I will do what I can to help you."

Gwen turned her attention to Sydney. She tilted her head and looked her up and down. After listening to the others talk she scooched her chair over to Sydney, dramatically taking her hand, "Hello, fair one, my name is Gwendolyn. You can call me Gwen." She kissed her hand, "It is lovely to meet you." She grinned up at her. Gwen took the paper Wren had written on and read it. She smiled. "This looks wonderful." She took the pen and signed:
Gwendolyn Fisk (Sexfiend as declared by a bearded man, Siren as declared by a blue-haired girl)
She handed the paper off to Val. "I have a decent score with hacking. Not top tier, but good enough. Got the watchtower the first day so I don't think I'm too shabby. Just let me know if you need me to attack someone as well."
(OOC: I'm lost as to who we are including in whispers. I'm sticking to Val, Cal, Holly, and Wren until further notice if that's alright with everyone. Sydney will be added if necessary unless you guys think she can be included from now on.)

There was an awful lot of activity buzzing around Syd. She got an air of distrust from Holly which, yeah okay fair. Cal's probably told her about the situation. Upon hearing Nelson's name she smirked. "Yeah? He's alive and, you know, fine and all that?" It was a little relief to hear that her district mate was at least alive. "He's all right. He means well." Gwen easily took her a little by surprise but Syd was nothing if not sociable. "Oh, to call me fair is almost too nice, i've been living in dirt the past 6 days. Hi Gwen." She liked Gwen already, but there was a lot to do in the face of everything that was happening. She listened dilligently to Wren's speech and nodded. There obviously was a lot at stake here but she had already made her choice when her own glass ceiling had shattered.
"I'll do my best to help you guys and I think you know that. I understand there's a lot at stake but I would honestly rather die for a better future than to live in a present that trains kids as Peacekeepers and sends them to die without a second thought. Maybe I won't ever see my family again but at least future kids won't have to live through this. But, right, the task." Syd faced the group with a sigh.
"As for Deo. I did some spying on him while I was here and Deo does have full health as well as a morphling. I still have all of my arrows but they can only do so much, he's a threat on his own. Firing them off won't be the problem but more than one person will have to do the job. He's that strong right now. I don't know anything about Minerva's status but she seemed to be realtively without injury so who knows. Deo hasd been dodgy about information when I've spoken to him but he is strong. I know this for an absolute fact."
