Wren caught Gwen and Val together at some point during the day. He'd spoken to Cal about them and wanted to iron out a few things. Plus, Gwen seemed really interested in his love life all of a sudden. He lowered his voice slightly, not wanting to embarrass himself too much with the details. OOC: Val, sorry I've left you out of some whispers. There's not enough room in the whisper box for all of our allies, which is actually a comforting situation to be in lol But sorry, I've put you in some, put Wallace in some, and put Nelson in some, attempting to keep each relevant to who I include. I left Gwen, Holly, and Demetri in each of them because they seem to have more of a plan/direction so I wanted them to be up to date. I think I managed to get two separate whispers in my last post in the other thread...maybe I can just copy/paste my whispers and include you that way. I'll try that next time!
IN: "I DO trust you, I promise. Cal and I discussed the peacebringer thing and I think 's absolutely brilliant! I'm a rebel, but you can spy if you really feel you need to. I get it. Cal spied on me and it pissed me off, but we're this terrible forbidden love thing between allegiances and we're making it work. Like I said in the kitchen, I really believe we can work together no matter what we are, and I'll do my best to get you and Cal both pardoned if rebels win. I attacked Dante twice already. He's whispering to me asking for food. I think he thinks I'm a peacekeeper so I might have some fun with him until he's dead."
He blushed. "And Cal and I are in love. We...had some good times in the watchtower day two. He still cares about you, Gwen. But...I think he's allowed that relationship to halt at the start of this war, whereas he and I have kept ours going. I'm sorry."

Gwen grinned. Who knew Wren was so hush, hush about his love life. It was kind of endearing. OOC: I'm having trouble keeping up with who to send whispers to so so far I've mostly been including you two and Demetri and Holly since you're the one's that talk the most. Also, I just made a side comment to Holly about getting to hit Sharlot first if we see her again since she used me as a scapegoat for her actions.
IC: Gwen gave Wren a warm smile. "Don't worry about it. You two do you. Who am I to get in the way of love? What Cal and I had may have been mostly me just blowing off steam." She looks off into the distance, "Perhaps something could have been there, but then the sirens went off and we never got to explore that." Gwen turned back to Wren and put a hand on his shoulder, "You two seem to know what you want so I'll take a step back. I'm not one to interfere with that kind of thing."

Wren shrugged "It's true. I just wish we'd had more time up there." He sighed. "It's almost a curse to find love in a mess like this.' "So, any stories from you?" Wren smirked. Gwen, wanna play Dante along before we murder him? Lol

Beside herself and beside the circumstances Val smiled as the topic of love was brought up. Before today she hadn't known whether her own emotions towards certain tributes were real or products of the stress they were under. ...now she knew them to be real. She moved up close to Gwen and put her hand within her reach hoping she would grasp it. Val placed her other hand on the Wren's other shoulder, "I'll do whatever I can to get you back to Cal. Feelings like those might soon be the only thing that keeps us going as things get harder."
She looked between the two, "with any hope we'll be moving towards the hospital...and towards Cal tomorrow. You should tag along."
"And as far as a "pardon" goes," she frowned, "I know the path I've chosen and I know what the cost will be..."
She smiled as best she could, "Cal knows the risks as well as I do so in a worse case scenario," her frown returned, "make sure you and Gwen take care of each other ok?"

Wren smiled at Val's recent emotional realizations. He had known love since before the war began, and he hoped Val had found that state as well. "Of course, although I'm seriously going to do my best to get a pardon issued...Maybe Millie would favor that. It seems in line with her beliefs. And I know we shouldn't all go to the same place, but I had told Cal I'd meet him at the watchtower and I'll be damned if I run into the armory unarmed and die so far away from him. I don't want another nine person party, not that it wasn't great to see everyone. But we need to split up..." Wren sighed.

Holly listened at the doorway.
"I didn't realize it had gotten so serious, Wren." Glancing at the other two, she decided it was best to not interfere for now. Even if it stings a bit.

Val smiled back as best as should could. "You do what you need to Wren," she replied, "I just need to make sure Gwen gets to the hospital."
She looked over her shoulder at the massive amount of people in the market, "But I agree. We need to split up, "I guess some of them will just have to go the other way."

Gwen smiled as Val moved closer to her. She took her hand and lightly squeezed it. It was a small comfort, but one that made a difference. Gwen glanced around with a worried look. "So are us four heading to the watchtower? Or just Wren?"

"I've had this promise to Cal since day four, so I'm going. I understand you need med supplies, so I won't be offended if you follow. I enjoy each of your company, but we DO need to split somehow. I'm fairly sure Cal will be there plus maybe two or three others if anyone stays that's been there recently. Val, Holly, I know you want to stay with Gwen, but if you decide to hang back or move another direction, I promise Cal and I will take care of her. Even my charms can't sway Cal's original care for her." Wren smirked.
"Plus, the med kit at the depot might be just as good of a plan as a single shot of morphling, or better. Just a thought."

Well, we need to get THROUGH the watchtower to get to the hospital," she replied, "its the fastest path."
"So we'll at least be following you for one day," she smiled at Wren, "So it looks like you have some traveling buddies for one more day at the very least."

"Alright. I'm just saying, if you're at all concerned about overcrowding the tower like we did in the market, the Depot probably has a med kit that would be more useful than a single shot of morphling. But if I see you at the tower, I'm sure we'll figure out an arrangement for dividing up duties and equipment there."

Odds are the things no longer there though... ((OOC: Items change daily. Not always the same stuff in every zone and its been a few days since you were there.)) "Gwen...Holly..." Val whispered, "Why is Wren so dead set on trying to convince us to go after an item that most likely isn't even there anymore?"
She frowned, "Has anyone spied on him yet?"
"After Sharlot I'm having trouble trusting people who constantly go on about just HOW much of a rebel they are...:" she finished.

"So, ladies. Looks like we are heading to the watchtower? If things are still too crowded we can make our way to the supply depot. I just don't fancy getting shot again anytime soon." "Don't worry. He's probably just concerned with how much food would be available if there's an overcrowding again. The watchtower didn't exactly have all that much and I don't know about the hospital, but chances are the hospital will be far less crowded if Cal heads back over to the watchtower as well."

"Let's saddle up," Val said dusting the dirt of the Market off of her, "we have to get moving right about now." "He's just...making me nervous," she whispered to Holly and Gwen as she started heading away from the Market.

Holly took a few more steps into the room and joined her friends. "I'm up for an adventure, I haven't had a chance to see the Watchtower or the Hospital yet. All this killing has made me worry about medical supplies. No point not checking to see if we can find any. And we can always loop around through the supply depot. I don't think so many of us will ever be around each other again though... Not like this." She turned to Val and Gwen choosing her words carefully. "I don't know what experiences you've had with Wren, but I agree his behavior can sometimes seem... off - and it changes on a dime. I have never heard confirmation about his status except from him... insisting for various reasons why he should be believed. I intend to spy on him as soon as I have a chance. I'll let you know what I find out."
