It took Thomas a moment to take in all of this new information. He looked over Holly's shoulders to read the notes from Sharlot. He wasn't sure how to interpret it all. After considering all Holly had to say, he responded. "I don't trust her. Maybe she was trying to help the rebels before, but clearly she is fighting against us now. I didn't realize that There were peacekeepers out there trying to help the rebels... How are you so certain that they can be trusted? Cal nearly admitted to being a peacekeeper as he was leaving the Capitol... But why would he steal from someone on his own side? It just doesn't make sense!"

Thomas looked confused and it worried Holly. Well, join the club. I wonder if he has what it takes. "Everything's gone to hell. You doing alright, kid?" "Look, I know it's a lot. Everything she said just doesn't add up to me. And even if she was the first person to suggest an alliance... Isn't that what a Peacekeeper might do to avoid suspicion and condense their targets into a manageable group that they'd have access to? None of what she said actually proves her innocence. It's completely circumstantial, and it's only one side of the story. But, like I said - it really doesn't matter because she declared herself as our enemy. So we don't actually have much of a choice as I see it."
Holly sat back down against the wall beside Demetri, her mind was made up.

Thomas smiled at Holly. "Yeah, I'm alright. Just realizing how many sides to this rebellion there are. Did your training as a career prepare you for this at all?" "I agree, we can't trust her. I guess we just need to decide how to proceed. Holly, was your suggestion to just follow her wherever she goes, then attack?"

Holly couldn't help but laugh at the question.
"Not really, sure I can use a weapon. I have tactical and survival training, that all helps. But I've been training to be in an arena. This is the Capitol and we're fugitives. It's not a dome with us against each other, we're gonna face an army soon. I learned how to survival a death match, not a revolution, Thomas."
A lot more people are gonna die by the time this is over.
"This isn't an arena, alliances can't last until we're only a few. They have to survive along with us or we all die. I didn't train for that."

"So damn quiet in here... you'd think half of them have been asleep this whole time." "So, you've had time to think. What do you have to say about all this, Thomas?"

Demetri was getting impatient. "So where do we go now? We're running out of time and it'd be best to stick together. Are we staying here?"

Holly had been dozing, relishing a bit of rest when she was startled by Demetri. "I think Sharlot is staying. Thomas has been reluctant to agree to anything. Maybe he isn't as loyal as we'd like. I'm not sure if Sharlot intends to leave. But we have a schedule to keep. We can stay here, and kill her ourselves in the hopes she doesn't get away from us - or we can stay on track and report back to the other what she's up to. I think as much as I'd like to put her down, it might be the wiser move to head back to our allies for now, even if she is an easy mark."
