Peacekeepers flooded out of the training center, quickly barricading its entryways.
No going back through that. Thought Dante, picking his way through the armory. Through the chaos of the escape he noticed a few other tributes had joined him nearby.
"Hey, Reese! Glad you made it out. I heard some shots back when you were coming out of the center, are you all right?"

"Yeah, I had been stuck in my room during lockdown. Was getting worried that I was going to just die alone in there and then suddenly the door opened. Walked down to the cafeteria and it looked like all hell had broken loose, but I didn't even have a chance to catch my breath before shots started popping off. That point I figured it was time to book it so ran this way."
"Glad to see a familiar face, I'll tell you that much!"

Thomas entered the armory, panting. He saw Dante and Reese chatting.
"Hey guy!" He turned to Dante "I'm not sure we've met, I'm Thomas. Crazy shit going on at the training center... huh?"

Reese stretched for a moment and then let out a big yawn, the last 24 hours had been intense and sleep had become a pretty low priority.
"So assuming that we are on the same side, what's the plan? Otherwise, I think we'll know soon enough who we can trust. I know what I'm doing here to survive and am willing to take the chance and figure things out with you guys right now."

Thomas listened to Reese's question and thought.
"I guess we really don't know for sure who is on what side right now. But we do know is that the Peace Keepers are currently in control of this place. If that doesn't sit right with you, then you should try to hack. What do you think?"

"Seems like a good plan regardless of what side you're on. Hack to hold it or hack to steal it. The Armory is going to be pretty important, stop your enemies from breathing and you won't have to worry about stopping them from taking control of anything..."
"Gotta find out who's on your side though before you just go out guns blazing."

"I couldn't agree more. I'm giving you guys my word that I'm not planning to attack anyone tonight." He wasn't really sure he had it in him to attack anyone ever... But he wasn't in that position yet. "We've got to figure out where people's loyalties lie.

"I thought I saw two other girls heading this way as I left but I coulda been wrong, you didn't see them did you? Now that I think about it, I'm not even sure whether I've ever even spoken to them at all."
After pausing for a brief moment, "For that matter if Agni got out, he came to speak to me an hour or so before the chaos broke out. He was very kind to me, I hope he's safe."

Janet jogged into the armory area where Reese, Dante and Thomas were talking in the calm before the storm. There was so much confusion that she was reeling from the confusion still. It seems like the best play is to wait it out, Janet thought.
"Supplies are supplies, regardless of which side you're on. Humans have to eat, and I know we're all human." Janet smiled to the group and tried to find her place. She knew there were things to find other than food, but figured that they would turn up eventually.

Anything to hint at what the heck's going on?" Just then, another girl came jogging up. "I don't think we've met - My name's Thomas." He extended his hand.

Thomas and Janet exchanged introductions as Dante found a clipboard left atop the armory's dusty crates. Its attached pen dangled as he picked it up. "This inventory is about a week old," The teen looked around the spacious warehouse. "With all the scattered pallets and empty weapon racks it must have been cleared out in a hurry." Dante waved toward a side panel dimly lit with computer screens. "Whoever is attacking us, may not know how empty this place is. Those computers are controlling the force fields keeping away the attackers for tonight. I don't plan on touching them. The Peacekeepers know this place has been cleaned out, making it much safer for us to hide here. Any other thoughts though?" As the night starts to fall, Dante leans against an empty crate near you to whisper.
"It's very dangerous right now, with these three others with us. The safest thing to do is stick together and find a way to meet up with Holly and the rest tomorrow. What are you planning on doing, Reese?"

"Taking it that way Janet at least you'll have something you can count on, which feels like it should go a long ways right about now." Turning to Thomas, "He just said 'to keep my friends close, that they're the only people anyone can depend on within the games and without them you'll never get anywhere.' Thing is that's all well and fine when you know who your friends are, we don't really have that luxury right now." "I wanna see what happens tonight, I think by the night's end we'll know a lot more. That said until we've got a solid footing I think staying in one place for too long is pretty risky. If we can take the armory just long enough to make off with the goods then we'll be in good shape I figure."

The Peacekeepers know this place has been cleaned out, making it much safer for us to hide here. Any other thoughts though?" Minerva chose then to come out of the shadows. She had seen the other tributes running into the armory as well, but the only ones she really knew were Dante and Thomas, and she didn't even know how much she could trust them. "Don't you think we should mess with the computers? I mean, let's be real... none of us have any idea what is going on in here? We have to do something, don't we? Is anyone in here good with the computers?"

Thomas saw Minerva step out into the the light. "Hey, glad to see that you made it"
He turned to Reese, "You're right. We don't really know who we can trust.... If you get along well with someone, that's all wel and good... But if they're on the other side, what does good company matter?"
Thomas had kept to himself more often than not during the training days. "For example, take that massive alliance- you know, the one with Wren and Val and whoever else? What if they're split down the middle on different size? Sounds like a bit of a rude awakening. Agni said to keep your friends close, but maybe one should keep their enemies closer."
