THIS THREAD IS PRIVATE IN CHARACTER EVEN IF YOU CAN SEE IT THE EVENTS TAKING PLACE HERE ARE WITNESSED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE PHOENIX ACCORD (THE MERGER OF THE TWO ALLIANCES)
Val snuck past several Peace Keepers to make it here but it was worth it.
Not only did she have to plan their attack but she had to tell her teammates...
...everything.

Wren crept through some holes in the wall, until he came out...in a kitchen? Val was there. What is this place?
"Val?! So much to say...what's up?"
OOC: Eloise won't be back online til 1am, she told me. But she's with us. We just have to update her.

OOC: He whispered right before the peacekeepers took him and said he wouldn't be able to return, that his actions wouldn't support it. So...technically, in character, he shouldn't. But he could snoop if breaks character I guess....Damn. We can whisper, but then you can't participate yet, which we might as well do here... =( I say, we use the room. He would be breaking the rules of character knowledge, after announcing himself he wouldn't return. That was his final post to me. I think his player would obey the rules of the forum.
Cal: She can't read whispers on her phone. Also, GTFO lol ;P

OOC: There's an app called Tapatalk. I just downloaded it & tried it out-I was able to read whispers. Doesn't look like a whisper, just regular text. But it should work! You'll have to type in the tributeforums.proboards.com to search, then log in. I think Supply Depot would be super helpful...or Hospital or Watchtower. Do we have more than 5 people to bring together? I'd be okay taking armory if I needed to split from anyone. ( visible to : Holly, val, eloise)

"It's the morphling, man. You can see all sorts of shit!" Should we 4 just choose somewhere together? We do need to strategize a bit but I don't want to be left with nothing or end up split.

Holly burst through the door full speed, barely managing to stop and avoid crashing into the large group that had gathered. She was just in time to hear Eloise speak.
"I think it's a good idea that we spend at least a little time laying our cards on the table. There are a lot of alliances that have formed under the assumption we'd be entering the Arena. It looks like at this point things have changed and we may be fighting the Capitol itself. We need to work together and figure out what's happening."
She paused and looked around at the group in front of her.
"If we all decide to stay and turn ourselves over to the Peacekeepers, we'll be picked off one by one in the games like every other year. We have a real opportunity here. We can fight the real enemy. The ones who force us into these sick tournaments. I'm only here because I figured if you can't fight the system, you should use it to your advantage and that's why I joined the Career programs. Now, maybe if we band together and get on the same page, we can do more than I thought was possible."

Valeria looked around the room. She knew they had to get going so it was now or never.
"Look there's something I have to tell you. Something I AM planning on telling everyone at once."
She sighed, "this could ruin EVERYTHING," she thought to herself.
"I'm a peacekeeper...not by choice but out of necessity," she started to tell her friends and allies. "My friend. The only person I've ever felt truly close to before coming here was Darien Zuri. We grew up together in District 8. I know it sounds corny but I never really knew my parents. They got an opportunity to leave the district behind for District One when I was really little through some sort of back room deals with the powers that be in the alley ways of District Eight."
She looked around the room, "there was just no room for a baby in their new lives so I was left behind. Zuri more or less was both a big brother and father to me and we got by working for those same back room business men that my parents struck a deal with when I was little."
Val looked away, "Now I was young and stupid and I thought they were just nice benefactors and Zuri sure as hell wasn't going to let the hideous truths of District Eight taint a little kid's mind so he did his best to keep me occupied doing odd jobs for them. Spying on a contact here, collecting data on a business there. For all I knew they were just a rival company to these businesses but...as you can already probably tell...it was just organized crime."
Her eyes misted over a little, "I mean I couldn't have known right? And Zuri...as I got older I needed to get more clothes, eat more, and the jobs he was picking up from them weren't paying the bills any more so he turned to selling morphling. Things got tighter and tighter and my eyes got more and more opened to reality and soon I was slinging the stuff too. I stopped being as appreciative towards Zuri. He held on to the morals he had tried to instill in me, sticking together, watching out for each other, but I thought I could do better."
Val sighed, "and I could. I was a better seller than him and I got... I wanted to show him that I wasn't just some weak little kid he had to look after. I thought I'd out perform him and I fed him some false information."
She looked straight ahead at her friends, "I thought it was just a fake drop spot. How could I have known that peacekeepers were staking out the location?"
Val composed herself as she continued the story, "He got caught and they roughed him up really good. From then on their eyes were on him and our benefactors wouldn't take him back...and he wouldn't take me back either. I promised myself that was the last time I would ever turn my back on a friend. The last time i would ever put myself first."
"So I did what I had to," Valeria sat up, "I joined up with the Peace Keepers solely to feed them false information. To get them off of his scent. Obviously I couldn't tell him what I was doing or it'd all be for naught. He disowned me and so did all of the other contacts I had built up. It worked though. He started getting jobs again better jobs than slinging drugs. Before I knew it he was wearing a suit in those backrooms."
Valeria continued, "and of course now I had to wear a suit too. A suit I hated every day more and more. But about six months in I got the memo. I was going to the hunger games and here I am."
Valeria looked around the room pleadingly, "Look I understand if you don't trust me and I understand if you just want to leave and never talk to me again but..."
"I meant every word I have said since getting here," She tried to smile, "and I promise that even if you don't want to be my friend anymore. Even if YOU are a peacekeeper. Even if it means my own death by your hand. I'll fight by your side."
Valeria plopped down on the counter, "It's done." she thought to herself.
She just hoped that SHE wasn't done as well...
((OOC: Just for convience sake even if your character "wasn't here" when this post was made because I posted before you came into the thread assume they were here IC.))

Holly watchd Valeria make her speech. Called it. Not that it matters. The raw emotion and vulnerability Val was showing touched her.
Honestly, that says more about her than being a Peacekeeper, or even how she got into the job.
"Valeria - Val, nothing changes for me. You're in this just like us. You may have just admitted to having quite a bit of experience as a double agent but if we're going to survive what I think we're clearly moving toward, we have to stand together and trust each other. You've done well by me so far, I see no reason for me to distrust or disown you now. Besides, we all have secrets."

"Thanks for the kindness, Holly. There were no messages on my hotel machine, but at least I've got you to update me."
"Val...you sound a lot like someone I talked to once....I think you know who. Did you two strike out a deal on how to work this out? He promised me protection..."
