Creating A Tribute

STEP ONE: Application

Create an original tribute by sending the following preferences to the Game Maker ([e-mail]). These will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis.

• Character's full name (no famous celebrities or characters)
  
• Gender (male/female)
• Age (12-18)
• Rank the four roles in the order you prefer them (optionally choose preferred District number as well)
• Preference for Tribute or undercover Peacekeeper

Your role will determine your district, primary skill bonus, and how you can best assist your team.

Striker	Like many career tributes, you have received training with various weapons. You will bravely head into the fray risking everything, even putting yourself in harm’s way to destroy the enemy.	1, 2, or 4	+2 Attack
Specialist	Despite your impoverished background, your focus on schooling has given you a sharp wit, strategic mind, and technological prowess. You will strategically secure and defend key locations.	3, 5, or 6	+2 Tactics
Spy	Growing up, you swindled and stole to survive. You are secretive, manipulative, and have a gift for sensing people’s motives. You will more easily be able to detect friend from foe.	7, 8, or 12	+2 Spy
Scout	Countless hunger stricken nights forced you to become resourceful. You have a keen eye for finding food and provisions and sharp reflexes to get to it first. You will prioritize being well fed and well equipped.	9, 10, or 11	+2 Scavenge

STEP TWO: Creating a Profile

After your tribute is approved, create a profile on the forum. Make your username your character's first name.

Once you are logged in, go to "Profile" on the top menu bar. Change your display name to show your tribute's first and last name, and fill out the sections for district, age, and gender.

Then upload a photograph that represents your tribute's appearance. You may not use photographs of yourself, friends, or drawings as your profile image.

STEP THREE: Posting your Character Sheet

Pick one +1 skill and one -1 skill. The skills are Attack, Tactics, Spy, and Scavenge. You cannot modify your role’s skill bonus (see above).

Write a couple sentences about your tribute’s personality and backstory and make sure you have a good feel for how your character will act and respond to various events. Keep in mind that more interesting characters will be rewarded with a higher sponsor score.

All characters start with 8 HP, Food Level 3, and a Token in their inventory.

Create a thread on the Tribute Status board and copy and paste the character sheet shown below into your post. This board is private and no one else will see your post.
