"Holy shit. What the Fuck just happened? First Kiki, now Ox? It all happened so quickly."

Ayla had wanted to spend time alone with Seth since the party... but not like this. Not after everyone else in their alliance was dead. She fell to the ground, how could this have happened? She really thought that Ox had been full health before that jump. It was as though he had thrown everything away on a whim. She couldn't blame him... the thought of morphling was so tempting. If she wasn't sure before, she was now. She would not attempt that leap. It wasn't worth it. 

[Seth Judkins]

“I can’t believe he’s gone,” Seth said quietly. “He should have talked to us first! We could have formed a strategy. We could have made it work without him having to risk his life!”

“What do we do now?” He asked, turning to Ayla. “The odds are against us, but it’s still possible. But if things look grim… I think one of us needs to come out of this alive.”

[Ayla Farrow]

Seth had brought up the elephant in the room. It would be possible for one of them to sacrifice their life for the other. She didn't want to think about that.

"I saw that you tried to disarm the bomb... I wish it had worked. That would make things easier. Maybe you could try one more time and we can talk after we see how that goes? I would help, but I know that it would be impossible for me to solve. This sucks."

[Seth Judkins]

"Before I do that, can we talk about all our options here? Did you hear the announcement? There's a new Adrenaline Shot that might make it possible for you. Do you have any sponsor points? If so, how many?"

"But even if you were able to buy that, where does that leave us with food? I think we both need to eat and there's only one event that could get us one piece of food. If one of us will starve to death anyway, is there a point to buying the Adrenaline Shot?"

[Ayla Farrow]

"I have three sponsor points, that I was planning to use for food for today. I see what you're saying and believe that buying the adrenaline shot would not be worth it, as we would have to sacrifice food. What is your health like, I'm at 2."

"I will agree that IF you are able to disarm the bomb, I will not share my story with the sponsors. That is, if we can determine if the points will be rewarded in time for it to matter anyway."

“I just thought of a another option, but it could take quite a bit of work. If I get the 2 points from the Showtime Event and level up my popularity meter, then I can buy an Energy Pill to give me another shot at disarming the bomb. Then you would have to level up your popularity meter and spend your four points on a food for each of us.”

[Ayla Farrow]

"That's a possibility. But I feel like they won't give us the sponsor points until the end of day 9. You would still only have a 1/7 chance at disarming the bomb. Also, I am not very close on my popularity."

OOC: You should message the gamemaker to figure out when the points are awarded.

(You can use the points on Arena Day 9 if you wish. They will be given out close to the end of the Arena Day.)

(OOC: I used a probability calculator, and with an energy pill I would have a 21% chance of succeeding, not 1/7. With adrenaline I would have a 25% chance of succeeding)

“Actually Adrenaline could significantly improve our odds. But yes, you’re right. The biggest issue is you are not even close on increasing your popularity. So what do we do?”

[Ayla Farrow]

"Well I guess it's all or nothing. We could give it a shot. I suppose I could purchase the adrenaline shot and give it to you to use to attempt to disarm the bomb. If it works, then that's amazing! We will have to do a lot of talking to each get another sponsor point. Then you can tell the sponsors your story for another two, and we will all be amazed at our luck!"

"To the contrary, if you cannot disarm the bomb, even with the adrenaline, then one of us will need to sacrifice ourselves. Otherwise... we'll both die. I think the only fair way to decide is by playing a game of luck such as rock paper scissors (OOC: AKA we would roll for it, whoever gets the lower roll would have to sacrifice themselves). Does that sound fair? I know it's really shitty, and the odds are low. But there is a chance that everything could workout! Even if it doesn't, one of us will make it to see tomorrow.

“No, don’t buy the Adrenaline. I would have to buy it, otherwise we won’t be able to afford the food.”

It only works like this:
Seth gets 1 point from Popularity, 2 points from EVENT: Showtime (3 for adrenaline)
Ayla has 3 points and gains 1 from Popularity (4 for two food)

If Ayla buys Adrenaline, we will each end up with 1 point we can’t use.

"We'll worry about sacrificing when we get there. I hope it doesn't come to that."

OOC- Okay, I'm pickin up what you're puttin down now.

"Okay, that sounds like a deal. I will hold off and save my money for our food. So now we've got our plan. You better start thinking about the story that you want to tell the sponsors!"

"I wonder where Olive stands with everything. She seems very malleable. I wonder if Jaffe and Alistair have convinced her to go with them. What do you think?"

[Seth Judkins]

"I don't know much about Olive. I never spent any time with her. Did she seem like an agreeable person? If she does team up with them they will probably take down Ingrid easily. But how come they haven't already? Maybe they've worked something out with her too. There's a good chance we'll be outnumbered tomorrow. Do you think it's best to fight rather than put up with more of these challenges?"

[Ayla Farrow]

"Well we found out from Derrick that she was sort of a part of our alliance originally. I then found out that she was good friends with Ashton. But then she was cool to work with me... so I feel like she might be one of those people that is loyal to whomever she talked to most recently. When it comes to fighting... I guess we'll just have to see what the numbers are like. We are both clearly strong in combat... but maybe they are too. These challenges really are taking a toll on me. How much health do you have?"

Seth laughed morbidly at her question. His body was damaged in every way possible and he couldn't even move anything below his waist.

"Let's put it this way. I'm as close to dead as you can get without actually being dead. I am flirting with the reaper. I gave him my number and I'm just waiting for him to call me."

"If you're wondering if it's worth it for me to go for the morphling, it's not. That bomb will kill me no matter what."

[Ayla Farrow]

"Lord no, I was just checking in on you. There is no way that either of us should go for that... not after what happened to Ox."

She shook her fist at the sky "Damn it Ox! If you had today today, couldn't you have disarmed the bomb for us?!" Okay, that sounded horrible, but that's what she was thinking.

"I guess I'm in better shape than you. I was feeling great until that fucking quicksand."
