The lava is rising fast and will soon fill the chamber. The lava has pooled around a small platform, turning it into a small island. On the small platform is a case with a morphling shot. It will take a very precise jump to land on the platform. Is it worth the risk? | Action | Requirement | Result | | Jump to the platform | Athletics 6 | If successful, Gain Morphling Shot. End event.
If you attempt, but fail lose 1 HP
If you roll a 1, you die in the lava.

Ox had to make a try for it. He wasn't about to die now, not when it was a question of trusting his body not to fail him. Time to make a jump for it. A leap of faith.

Ayla screamed as she watch Jorn fail to leap across the barrier. "Good God!" What just happened? He was falling... but did he die? She prayed that he was okay. "Common Ox! Come back to us. Please!"

Seth watched in horror as Ox plunged into the lava.
"OX!!! NO NOT LIKE THIS!!!"
Seth wanted to reach out to him and pull his burning body out of the lava, but it was too late.

Ayla saw Ox's body wash up in the lava, motionless.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" she screamed.

Ox held onto the edge for a brief moment as his body failed him, whether from hunger or from grief or from loss of hope or just plain slipping.
"Glad I met you guys." Ox yelled out as his last finger began to slip off.
"GO on and win this stupid fucking thing. Do it for all of us! FUCK 'EM UP!"
Ox slipped off and with a plop and a burbled scream Ox perished in the lava.

Before going to watch Seth try to disarm the Bomb, Ayla went to visit the spot where Jorn had fallen. She wished she were able to write him an eloquent eulogy, but alas, she could not. Instead, she said simply "Rest in peace, I hope it's better wherever you are than where I am now, know that your were loved by all who spent time with you."
