Arnie sees the corpse and notices the broken crossbow besides him. It seems like a simple fix, if only he could take a look and work it over himself...

Arnie saw that he couldn't quite fix the broken mechanism but as he gripped his tool shaped token he hoped that he might be able to gain a little bit more insight. Trying one more time Arnie hoped that he could use any experience he may have and salvage this crossbow for the benefit of himself.

Al watched as Arnie attempted to be able to salvage the bow that was next to the corpse and he studied it to see if maybe there was something the older boy missed while putting it together. When there was a lull of activity, Al took off towards the weapon. In his mind, this was his one shot to acquire the weapon. It was broken, all right, and Al attempted to see what he could do with it. It was worth at least a shot.

Managing to snap the weapon into place, he paused a moment to pump his fist quietly. All that observation paid off in the end. Quickly observing his surroundings and asserting that he was in the clear, Al took back off into the darkness of the night with his prize.

"Did you just make a freaking crossbow!?" exclaimed Jaffe, who was watching from a distance. "What kind of dumb luck is this?" she laughed, "I mean.. well you know... I guess you never came off as the... inquisitive type... Alistair, the brilliant! That's what you are. Like a... I'll just stop."
She examined the weapon sliding her hand along the tiller, "You know how to use this thing?"

"Dumb luck huh?" He asked as he set the weapon down and took a seat on the ground next to it. "That was skill. Well, you know what they say about books and their covers. I'm a computer hacker, details are important. My brother's more of the brute strength type of guy. Strong as an ox but dumb as a rock."
