Arnie walked around with a plate full of his favorite foods. Being his last chance to grab a solid meal, Arnie had made the decision to savor these last bites. He figured he would start with the juicy slab of roast beef and follow it up with candied walnuts and a delightful selection of plums, grapes, and mango.
Finding an open booth underneath an intricately carved wooden figure of some previous famous tribute, Arnie sat and carefully set up his table. Back home he always ate quickly and moved on, but not now. Covering his lap with his napkin and delicately placing his fork and knife in their proper spot, Arnie closed his eyes and began to whisper to himself.

Ox walked up with a plate filled with green beans several different cuts of beef and a large bowl in another hand filled with a chocolate pudding. He noticed that Arnie was whispering to himself and stopped and waited for him to finish.
"Mind if I sit with you?" Ox asked tentatively. "I don't mean to interrupt." He apologized.

V entered the dining room just after Ox did. She spotted Arnie sitting quietly at a table and made her way to the buffet. She picked the fat off the roasted beef and placed it onto her plate, along with some fruit and a pitcher of water. Heading back towards arnie she asks, "Mind if I join you guys?"

Anton saw the tribute earlier from the gym and put a hand on his shoulder as he walked by.
"If you're interested, I could help watch your back in the Cornucopia. Let me know if you're interested." Anton then continued to walk back to his hotel room to prepare for the day.

Alicia piled everything she could grab onto her tray. No human could possibly consume the amount of food she took, but she took it anyway. She plopped the tray down next to where the group of tributes were sitting.
"If I go down today, I'm going down with a full stomach. May that be a warning to you all," she said pointing a croissant at all of them, "if you're going to stab me, don't go for the stomach or else I'll take you down with me when I explode like a pressure bomb."

Chuckling a bit at Ayla's last joke, V add, "You really, really don't want to eat that much. Imagine running a marathon then climbing a mountain on a full stomach. Heh! I'll stick to calories and vitamins, thank you." Her sunny disposition faded rapidly as the somber nature of the coming days truly sets in. "I never thought it would scare me this much," she said more to herself than anybody.
