Ayla entered the room after a long day of training. She felt she was doing well for herself. She had gained a few votes and moved into 5th for the sponsor ratings.
She needed to talk with Seth. They had to really start putting together an alliance. Who had she talked to? Derrick trained well with them. V? No way - total bitch. Ayla didn't feel like she could be trusted. A team of 5 would be ideal, one more than a set of two districts- such as the alliance between 1 and 2.

“Hey Ayla,” Seth said as he entered the hotel room. He headed straight for the shower and sat down on the ledge beneath the showerhead. His legs were killing him. He was quickly realizing his fatal flaw in the Games would be having to stand for long periods of time. He feared he wouldn’t be able to keep up with Ayla and would eventually get left behind, or worse, drag her down with him. He pulled off his training clothes and turned on the water.
“Well, you weren’t kidding,” Seth shouted over the hiss of the water. “You really can fight! You’re a bit scrappy, but I think if we keep working on those formations we’ll make a pretty strong team.”
“And I’ve got a good feeling about Derrick,” he added. “He takes direction well and I think we could use someone with athletic abilities.”

"I agree, Derrick would be a good addition. I think 5 would be a good number - what do you think? Who else should we talk to?"

"Yeah I agree. And I think we need to start recruiting soon. With the private session coming up there can't be that much time left in the Training Days. I think we should have a meeting with Jorn. I'm getting a consistently good vibe from him. And I was even pleasantly surprised by Gaston. While he originally came off as a self-centered career, I could sense some good in him. And I bet he would work well in my combat scheme. Though I'm still not sure we could trust him in an alliance since he has already teamed up with Anton, but it's something to keep in mind."

"Right, it seems like Gaston and Anton might be a package deal... And Anton and Ingrid are likely together seeing as they are siblings. Let's go do some recruiting!"
Ayla pulled back the top of shower curtain, kissed Seth on the cheek and ran out of the room.
