A quiet room sat empty and undisturbed. Sadly there were no cots or couches in here but it had a decently clean floor and several low lying counters. The room appeared to have been some sort of meeting room when this tower had been in use. Who the heck wanted needed to have meetings in a watchtower was uncertain but it served it's purpose as a private area to inhabit amongst the large crowd of tributes currently occupying the tower. "Hm...this'll do," Val said upon walking into the room, "there's bound to be...food around here somewhere."

Gwen stood in the doorway. She was more certain about her feelings after the past couple days. She was afraid to call it love. Who knew what the future held? She touched the wound in her side that had dulled down to an ache in her side. She knew it was as close of a feeling to love as she could get given the circumstances. She hoped there would be a chance after all this was over for her to feel comfortable enough to fall into that deep emotion. Gwen admired Val from afar for few moments, "Nice place you found here." Gwen walked over to Val, putting her arms around her waist and pulling her intoa deep kiss. She pulled away after a few moments, "Sorry. Did you want to talk about this some more?"

"Yeah, it's the best I could get on such short notice,"she smiled, "unfortunately the honeymoon suite was booked." Val leaned back in to give her a teasingly short peck on the lips, "I think we should..."
She held Gwen tight, "I think our meal can wait a few minutes while we...talk about 'us' " "Now how do I call room service," she laughed.

Gwen smirked, "I think this will do. Besides, the floor is very spacious. Gwen held out her hand, "Care for a dance?" Gwen groaned, "Ugh, the talking. Fine. Comments? Questions? Concerns?"

Val took Gwen's hand, "Second time's a charm eh?" she joked as she took the lead. Attack Roll: Dance With Gwen 12v2|_4_1d10+1Dancing still wasn't her strongest suit but she managed it a lot better than their last time in the loading dock. "It looks like I've picked a few moves up," she grinned. "I...think I may want to...keep getting meals with you...for several years," she ventured trying to extend the metaphor.
She frowned, "Ah fuck it. I like you. Hell I might. No. I DO love you."
Valeria pulled Gwen in close, "I really don't want to risk not having a chance to really...have a," she paused thinking about the implications of the next word, "relationship with you." 1d10+1

Gwen smiled. This is the reason she started to fall for Val. No one else took the lead like her. Attack roll: Keep up with Val PfkUEGIT1d10+1Was Val a better dancer than she remembered? Gwen was having a hard time keeping up. She was going to chalk it up to her bullet wound. Gwen smiled. She traced Val's face with her fingertips as she talked, finally letting her hand rest on Val's shoulder to play with her hair. She sighed once Val was finished, There's that word again. She tried to carefully say the words, "I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with anyone else at this point. I think I am falling for you, but... I'm sorry. With everything happening, I just don't know if I can say that word yet." Gwen paused. Thinking. But what if we don't get another chance? What if something happens, like with Demetri and Holly? "You know what? I just had a thought." She stared into Val's eyes, "I don't want to miss this chance. I think I love you, too." She looked away, suddenly self-conscious, "I'm much better at the not talking thing speaking for me usually." 1d10+1

Val laughed, "It seems the student has become the master...or at least a part time tutor."
"For what its worth," Val grinned, "I enjoy that wiggling you called a dance."

Gwen stuck her tongue out at Val, "I blame the bullet wound."

Holly opened the door and stopped discovering Gwen and Valeria dancing. Well, one of you is... I guess this is where you girls ran off to. She chuckled and cleared her throat.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I was just looking for the bathroom."
Holly began to close the door behind her and yelled over her shoulder. "Excuse me, ladies. I'll be on my way but carry on! Leave room for Jesus!"
Laughing to herself she left.

"Excuses excuses," she chided, "Now where were we?" She wrapped her arms around Gwen. "Then lets not waste what time we have," she kissed her lightly on the cheek.
Val laughed, "What now? Do we go pick out the proper shade of white for a picket fence?"
She was glad to finally belong somewhere.
"So does this mean we're..." she ventured.

"What's a Jesus?" Gwen calls after Holly. "Should we be worried?" "Moving on from talking?" Gwen kissed Val. "Please tell me that's what's happening. I'm dying over here." Oh. "You mean, are we exclusive? Like girlfriends? Is that what going out to pick a shade of white for our fence means? Because hell you can pick the color and I'll paint it."

From the hall, Holly heard the question and called back.
"I wouldn't expect you to have heard of him - you're better off! Just some guy in a book I found in my Grandfather's house as a kid. Carry on being a Siren for Blue, she's waiting."
Holly chuckled to herself again, she was happy for them and amused at the encounter.

"I've always loved purple," Val laughed and kissed Gwen. "Guess it wasn't as impossible to tie you down as I thought," she grinned. "Now about that food," she said with a smile and pulled Gwen to the ground.
