A locked chest lies in the center of the chamber. Beside the chest is a note from the Game Maker. "A real Hunger Games champion must have some manners. I introduced my wife at the Feast of the Tributes. Do you remember her name?" Action | Requirement | Result | Guess name | none | +1 Food Level |
You have unlimited guesses. Only the first person to name Vester's wife wins one food level.

Ayla read the note to herself and then considered. What the hell was her name. "I think it was something fancy... Ophelia?" She had been keeping intricate notes on the other tributes... but not on any of the sponsors. Damn it.

There was still the locked chest. Luckily it wasn’t trapped and all it needed was a password. Vester’s wife? Seth remembered watching a recap of the Feast. Vester was making a bet with Arnie in the Billiard Room. He vaguely remembered her by her tall, white wig. But her name was beyond Seth.
“Somthing fancy… I want to say it started with a G?” he said doubtfully. “Giselle?” He punched the letters into the lock mechanism.

You look out the window and see that Vester has projected a poem onto the sky.
“I can see you need help For your memory has failed But I think starving to death Is worse than being impaled
Though her thread was so brief Take delight ’twas concise For each word carried meaning Does that help? Need advice?
To continue the Game You must solve this encryption. Here’s your hint: my wife’s name Is defined in her description”
(This may require some internet research. Enjoy!)

Ayla looked up at the sky, trying to decipher the hint. What did he mean by her description... Did that mean that he name was "my wife" in another language?
"Is it Uxormea? That's Latin for my wife, right?" She thought he had described her as his beautiful wife... "Bonitaoxor?" No, no. He said the name was short.

Was thread a hint too? What kinds of fabric sounded like a name... "Cashmere?" Cash was a word for money, mere was a word for small... or brief. Could that be it?

Ayla just kept guessing as ideas came from her. "What about Pashmina? That's a type of fabric.. and it means made from Pashm, so there are two words in it."

She thought of a few more expensive fabrics. "Charmeuse? Vucana?"

“Hmm ‘thread’ is strange choice of word, but I’m not sure that he means fabric.”
(OOC: My guess is the Game Maker is breaking the 4th wall and by “thread” he is referring to the sequence of posts mentioning his wife)
“I remember she had white hair. Maybe that means something."
Seth tested the names Albinia and Bianca.

OOC: Sneaky, sneaky. Good thought.
"Hmm those are good guesses, Seth! I was trying to figure out if by description he meant how she looks, or how he had described her in the poem. I also got the impression that it was a name made up for two words... but I could just be reading in too deep. I wish I would have paid more attention to her!"
"Let's see... assuming her last name is also Lombard... maybe we should be thinking of Italy, since Lombard is the language they speak in Lombardy, Italy. You'd be on the right track, Seth with Bianca. I think that might just be the best guess yet! Didn't Vester introduce her as his beautiful wife?"
"Belladonna?"

"Hmm good thinking. You may be on to something. Perhaps Rosabella? Just Bella? What other words do we know about her? We know she is his wife. Is there an Italian name for wife? Moglie? Signora? ...Moglibella??" Seth laughed at his last guess. "If I ever get to have a daughter I am totally naming her Moglibella!"

"Haha, Seth I thought of that last one two but was embarrassed to guess it cuz it's so far out. While we're on far out guesses... maybe Vester is the type who defines his wife as his property. Like what if her name meant "my wife".
"Ilmiomoglie?"
"Haha" she laughed at herself. "Okay we are getting ridiculous here. I don't know why I keep thinking that the root words are from another language. I guess it just makes it sound fancier or something."
She thought of how ridiculous they must look. But there was nothing else to do, and the promise of food was intriguing.
"Rosalind? Annabelle? Gabrielle?"
"Those don't really follow the clue... but I just like them!"

The riddle continues...
"She shares part of a name with a tribute Who lived three days longer than Swather And a wedding gift fit for a queen Was crafted by Ingrid’s father
Oh you must think hard About the meaning of names Every word is a riddle From the maker of games!"

Ayla thought hard... "Is it Diane? Or maybe Adrianna? No...it's got to be more than just the 'n'. What about Ariana or Ardia"

"Come on, Ayla! We can figure this out! Don't give up. What clues do we have now? Queen, diamond, white, wife, wig/hair, beautiful..."
"Rosamund and Guntrude were queens of Lombardic Italy! Do those work?"

WRONG! You have disappointed me! Here's the explanation of the riddle:
My wife’s name is Gwendolen, meaning white brow (hair), fair (beautiful), and ring (marriage/wife)
Dolan Tawt (2nd Hunger Games) lived to Day seven, three days longer than Alicia Swather
My wife shares a name with legendary queen Gwendolen
A diamond ring (wedding gift) is crafted by Ingrid’s father. “Dolen” means ring.
