The tower was silent. No one was sure how to make it past the daunting fire trap. It seemed everyone was waiting for someone else to make the first move. Finally, Seth spoke up.
"I'm just going to come out and say it, we all know there's physically no way I can make it through the trap. I've thought about it a lot and the only ways I survive are if a bunch of us work together spending energy to disarm this thing, or if someone gives me a morphling shot. I know it's asking a lot, so if no one is willing to help me out I have one last option."
Seth took a deep breath.
“Unless someone finds a better way, I will take you up on your offer Jaffe. I’m willing to sacrifice myself to aid your victory -- On one condition: You must use the handgun. And since I’d be doing you a favor I need to be sure that I can trust you that you will give me a quick bullet and not brutally stab me. To ensure that, if you do anything but shoot me with your gun I will use my dying breath to kill your boyfriend. Nothing against you, Alistair (I’m trying to help you win after all), I just need to know that my death is painless, honorable, and on my own terms.”
"I hope it doesn't come to that. But I have no choice. So, what will it be? Can we all work together or does Jaffe get some target practice?"
Seth sat across the room from Jaffe. He tossed his weapon to the side.

Al chuckled as Seth referred to him as 'her boyfriend' and stepped back, holding his hands in the air. He was fucked anyway as well, without food within the next twelve hours, he would die as well. But god knows he wasn't going to say that out loud.
"Boyfriend? No offense, but in order for that to be a thing, I'd have to be straight." He looked towards Jaffie and nodded. "This is completely your choice, Jaf.

"I'm too tried to deal with this," said Jaffe, "This is just way too much to handle at this hour." She was tired, the days challenge and the fatigue of being away from her family begun to ware on her. "Alistair... when were you going to tell me... I thought we were friends..." she said awkwardly.

Cal Mensen: I believe you edit the post. You can either rewhisper to everyone (too much work), or copy and paste the whispers into public text. I'd imagine you'd want to give some sort of symbol or notation that they were once whispers.

Cal Mensen: Same here, part of me wants to allocate some time aside to building a new one in a different setting. It'd be easier to devote time to if there's a shard interest.
