The night air was cool and crisp, as kiki steppes outside. The crowds and people were too much stimuli for her she preferred to be in the quiet secluded garden and admire the flowers.
The dress the stylist put together again did nothing to flatter her huge body. She contemplated her next steps.

Seth reluctantly headed down to the party. He had considered staying in the hotel room, but once Ayla left it got painfully quiet. Upon entering saw the crowd of people dancing and the herd surrounding the bar. Ayla was probably in there somewhere, but he decided to step out into the garden where there was more space. He'd meet up with her later if it got less busy inside.
Seth saw Kiki standing expressionless in a quiet corner of the garden and he limped over to join her.
"Hi there," said Seth grinning. "I'm Seth Judkins. Much nicer out here than trying to navigate through that mess, huh?"

"Hi, I am Kiki," she said, her face expressionless. "You are from District 5, very strong parade performance." She shifted her gaze his legs. "What happened?"

This was the most Seth had heard Kiki speak so far in the Training Days. He wanted to take it as a sign of trust, but such quick assumptions could be deadly in these Games.
"I got ran over," Seth replied simply. "It took a year to get them working again, but hey I still got it."
After a brief pause, Seth added, "So the party's almost over, what are we still doing out here?" Seth glanced over his shoulder at dance party that was happening in the ballroom. It looked fun, but he couldn't help but feel intimidated by the masses of people carelessly dancing across the room. What if they ran into him and knocked him over? What if he couldn't get back up? What would the sponsors think?
From a distance, Seth caught a glimpse of Ayla's bright red hair. She was standing alone in the middle of the dance floor.
Seth inhaled sharply. "It's now or never, Kiki. I say we go for it."
Seth headed inside.
